Our cat love this toy. Has very nice functions, the auto shut off and turn on is great, he can always go back to it. So far the battery has lasted a while, very easy to use, comes with different modes for combinations of feather and butterflies fluttering. When we put it in the mode for everything to work he does not like it, we think he gets over stimulated. It is light so maybe a way to attach it to the floor would be good. I’m thinking of adding a suction cup. Very modern looking. Good value for the buck, considering it is 3 toy/ in one.

I was hesitant to purchase this item due to a few negative reviews. However, I needed a toy that our cat could totally entertain herself with that didn’t need human interaction or another “playmate”. First I’d like to address some of the negative reviews.
“My cat was afraid of the noise from the motor” – know your cat! Read product details, ask questions before purchasing. Don’t condemn a product based on YOUR pets personality. BTW, very little noise from the feather, a bit more from the butterfly, but not frightful unless your cat it skittish.
“It broke after 2 weeks” – Again, let people know the EXACT MAKE & MODEL # of the product you bought and from WHOM, or what store. Amazon has MANY “similar” products being sold, some are “knock offs” and it’s not fair to good quality companies or small businesses. Even top brands produce an occasional lemon – get it replaced- this company encourages you to LIKE by you or your cat or return for refund.
“My cat lost interest after a few minutes” – Again, know you’re cat! Cats in general will lose interest after getting an overload of stimulation. They need a break. They like to switch things up. Cats aren’t going to play with ANYTHING for longer than 3-5 minutes if that. Just like human toddlers, you need to put a few toys out and available at a time, put some away and reintroduce and swap out the toys. It will seem like a “new thing” all over again. It doesn’t matter how good the toy is, after awhile they get bored.
SO GLAD I IGNORED THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!
I was only allowed one video upload, she is playing with the random “shooting feather” feature. Kind of a kitty “Whack a Mole”. She circled and pounced. Winner! Then I engaged the wiggling Butterfly spinner. She stated for a bit, then started swatting, grabbing and trying to bite it. Again, winner! I used batteries instead of the USB Plug in. I like that it shuts off after no “activity” but as soon as there is interaction.. it starts up again. You can have the butterfly and the shooting feathers on separately or both going at once. I found one at a time to be more engaging for our cat. When both were on… too much happening. The unit is very sturdy and came with extra butterfly wire, extra feather shooter, a coupon for free gifts, 2 plastic balls (not the ones part of the 3 in 1 unit), one had a bell in the other a packet inside with catnip. The unit I bought – 3 in 1 Smart Cat Toy by Potaroma (Upgraded for 2023). I would highly recommend.

I adopted Gwendalyn, who is just over a year old, about a month ago. So, she’s still getting adjusted to some extent and has a LOT of energy. I have lots of toys for her but she doesn’t really seem to know how to play by herself. Which during the day is fine, but at 3am it’s rough! So, I looked into interactive toys. Gwen loves her string toys and hunting for toys, so this toy seemed perfect! And it really is. She loves it!! So much so that if she hears the beep from me turning it off, she comes running and whining. So, while I’d originally only intended to have it available to her overnight, it’s now a 24/7 toy.
You need 4 AA batteries, which I’m fine with, but know it’s not a chargeable toy. There is a cord that you can use to plug into the wall, but then the toy has to be by a wall/outlet.
Modes are nice, 4 different options. It is good about going into standby after 5mins and shutting off 2hrs later (if toy activated from standby, everything resets time wise). It doesn’t really stay put on hardwood floors, which I why I set it on basic grippy shelf liner, which works fine.
Only complaints I have are that when toy is reactivated, it beeps a bit loudly (especially if at night and in your room). Not sure why felt need to have it beep for that, as you can hear the toy going, though toy not as loud as the beep). Also, for some reason, when it switches modes, goes into standby, or even turns off, the whack-a-mole piece sometimes stays sticking out. I learned that when I heard, then saw, my cat carrying/dragging the toy across the room with holding that piece in her mouth. It would be nice if it always finished inside the toy. Doubly nice would be if it locked (or something) in place inside, as I now can’t use the feather or the floofy feathery strand thingie bc she can very easy dig them out, and will chew and carry the toy using them way more than with just the worm piece.
My last issue relates to those whack-a-mole pieces. So, we can only really use the “worm” piece, which is fine as she loves it and she’s better with it. But, if I need to replace it, I have to buy a pack that’s 2 worms, 2 feathers, and 2 floofy things for around $10…when I will only be able to use 2 of the 6 items. I wish could get individual types so I’m not wasting money.
Gripes aside, this toy really is great and at a good price too. Gwen truly loves it and finds it fun and soothing, so that makes me love it. I definitely recommend.

Got this exact same toy from Aldi for $9.99 when I first got my cat, and she LOVED it. After lots of batteries and usage, it eventually broke. Took a while to get this one because I couldn’t justify the price after nabbing it for $10…but it’s a great self-entertaining toy and honestly worth it for what we both get out of it. Wish the feather refills had more options, but it’s nice that they can be ordered separately (too pricey though, in my opinion). Automatically stops after not being activated, will shut off completely after a few hours. Reactivates in between that time with a tap or loud noise. Noise of the toy in general is a bit loud, but it doesn’t bother me when it’s entertaining her. She’s much more interested in the feather than the butterfly on top, but I’ll turn that on sometimes, too. Comes with a couple balls in the middle part but I take out the extra so there’s just one to bat the whole way around. My cat likes to play with the other one that’s free.

Lots of fun but butterfly does not work, and batteries run out fast
