Beautiful guitar. And yes they sound great. I have one. But SE is PRS’s student/beginner line.
It should be going for $350-400 like the two I had. I sold one for $400. Probably the best looking guitar in my collection. I have 44.
The guy that bought it sold it for $350.

This is the first time I’ve gotten a guitar like this but it was a hard to find guitar so I jumped. It arrived in much less time than I was quoted. It was packed well. No problems. Happy camper

PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo
Glitch #1 – The selector switch is a known problem for this model. Mine (and many others) required replacing right out of the box.
Glitch #2 – The piezo volume may or may not be correctly set. Mine was loud to the point of distortion. There is a “trim pot” on the circuit board which you can adjust yourself if you’re careful.
Another thing you may want to address is the battery box wiring; it’s serviceable but flimsy.
Although the fretwork is excellent, the metal itself is cheap. If you do a lot of bending like I do you should factor in the cost of refretting this guitar after a year (I’ll be getting stainless steel).
Overall, the tone is fantastic with long sustain and excellent intonation out of the box. No piezo will ever sound like a real acoustic guitar, but this model produces a very likeable “acoustic” tone, especially if played through an acoustic amp or DI into the PA.
I would definitely recommend this to a friend WITH the caveats stated above.

Beautiful guitar! Well made and well packaged. The hard cover case is a plus. Awesome sounds!

I had hoped for a better setup out of the box, two of the strings were not on the bridge correctly. But once I finished setting it up it was eye-opening.
It doesn’t sound like any other guitar I have. Much louder high-mid and treble. Clean tone can seem harsh, the piezo in particular. So that’s great if you a pushing through a long signal path, really pulls it through with a lot of detail and texture. No need for a treble booster, but depending on your rig, you might want to get an equalizer. The 24.75 scale with 9.5 radius is very comfortable to play. I love it.
