This bike is perfect. It arrived quickly. I got Velofix Bike Company to assemble it because I wanted it to be done properly. Itβs so comfortable and smooth. Easy to get on and off. Everything – gears, brakes etc. are all fine. Itβs a really great bike. The color is bright red – Iβll get used to it. Well worth the cost.

I have to admit that after reading a few reviews concerning the amount of damage some these bikes sustained during shipping, I thought about not making the purchase. I thought surely these negative reviews must be a small sampling, so I took a chance (mainly because of the GREAT price) and Iβm glad I did! I received the bike in 4 days and in perfect condition. The great care that as given in packaging this bike was exceptional! Not a dent and not a scratch! It actually took a little time getting this bike unpacked, thatβs how secure the packaging was. I had this beautiful Schwinn put together in less than 20 minutes. This is a birthday present for my wife, and I have no doubt that sheβs going to love it!

Very solid. Looks fabulous. Easy to put together.

Overall… I am Happy with My Purchase.
The Package arrived Safely and Well Packaged (it arrives partially assembled).
The Assembly Book/Instruction Manual is not written too well.
Although if you can “Swing” a Wrench and “Twist” a Screw Driver You can pretty much put this together without a Manual. I used both Metric as well as Standard Wrench Sizes. You also need a Larger Sized (Size Unknown) Allen Wrench for the Handle Bar Assembly and Adjustment.
The Bike itself is a Solid Quality Schwinn Product.
It is “Single Speed” so you need to really “Get on it” to get up any Incline.
I purchased this for My Wife… She is “Happy”… So I am “Happy”…

The bike is beautiful, but the front fender had a noticeable dent and there was a small tear in the seat. The packaging needs improvement!

Great bike and we got at a great price! My daughter has been wanting a red beach cruiser and this was perfect. Easy to assemble

I wanted to make sure it was assembled correctly, so paid a small fee to have a local bicycle shop assemble it for me. The cruiser is easy for me to step through and get on or off. At over 60, I need this style for safety. Three gears are all I need. To get more of a leg workout, sometimes I only ride in third gear. Brakes in the pedals are like deja vu all over again from childhood bikes. The big tires make for such a smooth ride. Every time I get on it, I am glad that I bought it.

It came with no tools and instructions could have been clearer but it was good once put together

My husband assembled it for me, so I cannot really speak to how difficult it was to do. He is very handy with tools and has fixed a lot of bicycles so it was probably easier for him than it would be for most people. The bike is super comfortable and I even kept the seat that came with the bike instead of trading it for a different one as I usually have to do. The gears change easily and I love that I can sit upright while riding so I am not hurting my back or wrists. I feel very secure and stable on this bike and am so happy I got it. I am only sad that I am now in a walking cast and may not get to ride again until next spring.

What was Schwinn thinking? The three speed bike may have been of advanced design, in the 1940’s. But this is not so inexpensive rather poorly emulated version of it.
Assembling the beast is quite an endeavor:
Front wheels can be put in place with two people working on them – one spreading the fork to fit it over the wheel, Instead of simple snapping mechanism, one has to tighten the nuts manually with an appropriate wrench.
The screws to hold the support for the front fender, already on the frame, to were screwed on so so tightly that I resorted to using 10-40WD to loosen them,
The seat, oh, the seat. There are nuts and screws to adjust the angle of the seat and there is a screw/nut to adjust the height of the seat. Adjusting both of them requires quite an endeavor. Adjusting the height of the seat is particularly problematic. Even when the nut was tightened with force to hold the seat post, the seat sank. Imaging yourself riding and the seat sinks or loaning the bike to someone of different dimensions than you, you without proper tools are out of luck,
Speaking of tools, it seemed that almost every nut and screw required a different implement.
Pedals? Never got to them. After the issues with the seat and evaluating potential future troubles involving what would be considered minor repairs, I decided not to continue with the assembly and reversed the action to ship the bike back.
One positive thing about the bike, even only about 3/4 assembled the blue bike was aesthetically pleasing. But that was not the principal reason for the purchase.

I bought it as a gift for my wife. Above all, it was good because the delivery was fast, and there was only red, so I had no choice but to buy it, but I liked that it was a much prettier red than I thought. However, since I am a welder, I see a few pinholes in the weld, so I give them four stars. Of course, pinholes do not mean that the product is defective, but more careful quality inspection is required. It’s Schwinn.

My husband and I like to take leisurely rides on Rails to Trails, and I didn’t need anything too intensive. We live in a hilly area, so this isn’t the best option for me to cruise around town unless I want to be walking it up a lot of hills, but I knew that when I picked it out.
Some other reviews have complained that it was difficult to put together, so I took it to a local bike repair shop, who assembled it for me for $40, a cost I consider well worth the preservation of my sanity and marriage.
Danny –
I haven’t ridden it that often since I bought it due to various things, but I have ridden it several times. I think it was about 10 times, but one day the brakes on the rear wheel started to get stuck, and then it warped like crazy. Later on, the wheel was so warped that it was hard to roll.
Sometimes that happens when to buy something. If it was used very roughly. But this bike is not meant to be ridden on rough roads. It’s just a neighborhood bike path.
Then winter came and I contacted customer service before I packed up the bike. I’m not looking for a free ride, but I thought they would provide a reasonable after-sales service to their buyers. I sent them the situation, the problem, photos, product codes, etc. The response was pretty much automatic. What I learned was that warped wheels are only covered under warranty for 30 days. They gave me a product code that they didn’t even have in stock and told me to check with my local bike shop. They didn’t give me any specs or even minimal information about compatible products. The terrible product and the terrible customer service that goes along with it are enough to make you realize how much you shouldn’t buy this product.
Please, please, please read the many years of product reviews that mention the quality of the product and avoid buying this product at all costs. I hope there are no more victims like me.

It was received very quickly. I finished assembling it relatively easily, but I couldn’t loosen it for a while because a bolt got stuck in a certain part (steering adjustment part).
While assembling it, I was in a bad mood because most of the parts were unbelievably low quality for the price, but my daughter’s happy expression after assembly told me the value of everything.
If design and style aren’t your thing, consider buying a CanadianTire Supercycle. You can save about more 200 CAD box.
