Our daughter’s piano teacher uses an older model, which was discontinued.
This SQ200 is the closest match to that previous model.
It’s been almost a month since we received it, and have liked it so far.
Highly recommend it for other piano players.

This metronome is really good…..A lot better than I thought it would be…..between the beat emphasis ……the rhythm setting……and the right/left/back and forth across which lights brighter in just the right place (8th notes-2 emphasis……16th notes~4 emphasis and so on)…..it electronically emulates the swinging arm of a traditional metronome with the light becoming brighter at just the right time……….This metronome is great for building a really clear strong sense of where the beat (and the offbeat) should be…….I really wish I would have had this metronome years ago :()

My wife uses this with her piano and loves it. Lots of features that I don’t understand but she does.

This is a very nice, intuitive metronome that is a nice size IMO. Not too small. Not too big. I’ve only been using it for about a week, but I already appreciate the 3 channels. Can have 3/4 time, 4/4 time, and triplet based rhythms preset to go (or any other presets) on the channels, and with a quick push of one button, you’ve made the switch. Nice, especially for instructional books that have different pieces with different time signatures etc. Only 4 stars? If you want or need polyrhythms, you can’t do it with this device. That’s really too bad because had Seiko enabled the use of two or more of the 3 channels simultaneously, it would have provided near limitless polyrhythm capabilities. I guess only drummers really go for this feature, so it’s not worth the minimal additional cost to provide the feature ?? Lost opportunity that would have made this a GREAT metronome, perhaps in a class by itself.
