Overall, this hub is great. The build quality and materials used are high quality and gives the hub a good, solid feel. The only complaint I have surrounding the hub is the HDMI port. I use it mainly to connect my MacBook to an external display, along with mouse/keyboard. When the MacBook is closed, and I am only using the external display, the refresh rate is low (30hz) and provides a “choppier” experience. However, when the MacBook is open and I am using both displays at the same time, and I get 60hz on the external monitor.

This is a great hub. I replaced a large, cube shaped docking station with this, and it honestly functions much better. The only thing you really lose is the ability to turn your computer on or off from the station, but really, that’s it. Everything else works, and in a MUCH smaller form factor! Plenty of different ports, nice material, and works perfectly. Highly recommend.

I bought this for work to connect my multiple monitors, wireless keyboard/mouse, and my headset that I have to occasionally plug in. Works great, was super easy to install, has any type of usb port you need for multiple devices, and is a great price compared to the $200 one that my company wanted me to buy.

So the item arrived quickly and worked flawlessly. I tested the hdmi since most reviews were saying it didn’t work…it worked fine for me. Usb ports works great as well as the sd card slot. The reason for only 3 stars is due to the fact it drains the battery on my macbook m2. My macbook relatively new and doesn’t have a bunch of apps installed. I was putting it to sleep and coming back to it the next day losing 20% or more in battery. Close it at 85% and come back 12 hours later and it’s at 61%. I was scratching my head trying to figure out why not even giving a second thought to the dongle. I put it to sleep with nothing plugged in so I wasn’t thinking that little led light would pull that much power.
I’m now checking the activity monitor and everything trying to figure this issue out and a buddy said, I’ll be it’s that dongle and I of course say no way. So I give it a shot and unplug it and sure enough…it was the culprit. I closed it up at 55% and came back to it around 14 hrs later and it was at 54%…sweet! I now just leave it unplugged until I need it. If it wasn’t for that it’d be 5 stars for sure.
Perhaps I got a dud and maybe I’ll send it back and exchange it for another one and if the issue persists I’ll just try a different one altogether. I really hate that we have to go through this just to get these ports as apple should have just integrated these into the laptop, especially at their price point. If they just couldn’t squeeze them in then at least include an official apple dongle, again, at their price point but, I digress. I’ll update this review about the replacement.

Don’t really need all the usb ports but love that it comes with sd slot and usb c. Like that it plugs in to be right against my mac but sometimes falls out (and I need to take off my case to make sure it actually connects). Still great and glad I got it.

The two Thunderbolt male ends on this are spaced properly and go easily into two of the Tbolt female ports on my macBook Pro (the laptop comes with 4 Tbolt female ports). This adapter goes into the female computer ports securely and is not loose. It does however use up 2 Tbolt female ports and only gives me one Tbolt female port in the adapter. The macBook Pro is very difficult to use day-to-day without an adapter and/or a USB hub. I don’t know why Apple decided to provide only 4 Tbolt ports and no USB ports, when so many things have USB male ends. This adapter is attractive and I recommend it.

Works exactly as expected, no drivers needed for most of the ports. Memory card reader doesn’t work on my work computer because of security settings in that computer, everything else works perfectly. The memory card reader does work on my personal computer. Would buy again
