I had not shot a pellet gun since I was in summer camp and to be honest my expectations were low despite the numerous great reviews I had seen. Very impressed with the accuracy straight out of the box. Pumping is easy and you can get away with 5-8 at short and medium range. Very fun to use!

love the fact of the oldschool mechanism 5-10 pumps is all you need 15 pumps gets you a great deadly shot! The magazine is super convenient when it comes to reloading. once it’s sighted i can be very accurate 10/10 the best rifle ive ever spent my money on

The rifle looks very nice. The furniture has a matte finish. The metal work is solid. Scope mounts are a little tricky in that you have limited space to mount the rings to ensure proper eye relief. Scope choice is key here. I had a few different models of scopes lying around that I could play with to make it work.
The pump system is awkward. It works well once you lube up the pivot points. You have to cock the bolt in order for any pressure to build. When pumping, the throw is pretty far. Meaning, the travel distance from open to closed is quite excessive due to the extra pivot point. The pump action is not very smooth. It does function well, but compared to a Benjamine or even an old Daisy, it takes some getting used to.
The included magazine is a great idea on paper. Loading it is a little tricky, even after watching the video. I prefer to just use the single shot plate…no fuss, no muss.
Overall, great shooter. Very accurate. Shoots hard and fast. Squirrels don’t stand a chance! Able to easily punch holes consistently in a quarter sized hole at 30 yards with a quality 4×32 scope. The included open sites are great as well.

Pictures and videos don’t do it justice. It is a little heavy for younger shoots but that’s an easy fix with a shooting stick or rest. Great for shooting close to neighbors or in places that you can’t shoot firearms. It’s a must have that will be pass on for generations.

I haven’t used that many pellet guns to compare but these drive tacks with the Barracuda pellets. Not so much with the Crosman pellets which seem small and loose for this one. 10 pumps is almost equal to 15 and probably good enough.
I got a 4x scope because my eyes are 73 years old. Also appreciate the low resistance lever design of the pump. With the Barracudas I’m holding an inch at fifty yards as stepped off and barrel rested on the back of a lawn chair. 5 pumps or ten, it doesn’t seem to make much difference in the group except in the sound of the force and penetration. I wouldn’t put paper targets straight onto a cedar fence, lol. They don’t seem to slow the heavy pellets down with 10 pumps. I like the little magazine that fits under my low scope mount.. I’m tall and had to make a buttstock extension out of a piece of nylon but it was easy on the straight back cut stock. Capped it with the piece that came with it and looks classy. Quality throughout.

Best lever action pump rifle I have ever owned. The bolt makes pumping a bit awkward. Better power with 5 pumps than the break barrels I have. Have not tried a full 13 but expect the power to be exceptional.

Everything about the gun looks nice aesthetically and it shot well. The problem is, the entire pump mechanism is held together by pressure fitted washers. Just normal use causes them to come apart. Mine came apart right at the elbow of the pump arm after less than 50 shots. If you google it you’ll see plenty of others with the same exact issue. It’s just not built to last. I have been looking at this for over a year and finally pulled the trigger. Only to be very disappointed. I return it within the 30 window and opted for an anniversary edition Crosman 362. While it’s not as powerful, it’s close, quiet, built on a wood stock with metal breach, and hopefully sturdier.

Old school pump up style. Killed many things with it. But ya gotta make sure you keep an eye on all the screws on this gun. They come loose. But other than that. I love it. I highly recommend it. I got the hollow point ammo. 177 caliber
