Es un lente de gran calidad, me sirvió bastante para filmar los cortos que me piden en la escuela de animación.

Sharp across the frame when stopped down, and colors turn out beautifully. Extremely easy/flexible editing in RAW (I’ve lost time on terrible color/contrast issues with other lenses),
and beautiful JPEGs out of camera.

The weight is nicely balanced as well. It’s a large lens, but not cumbersome.

Be weary, if you order through Amazon, and it ships through digital goja, there’s always the possibility you get the wrong lens. I received a 35mm 1.4 DG DN box, with a 35mm 1.4 DG HSM lens packaged in bubble wrap without the Sigma Pouch. I’d advise purchasing through somewhere else, such as B&H photo.

    About the lens :

    Great autofocus, silent and quick
Solid build quality, still going to baby it though
Close up image quality is alright, sharpens up as you stop down the aperture.

Overall a sharp lens for portraits or car photography!

Super sharp images, it’s a little heavy, but I love shooting with this lense.

The quality of this lens is astonishing. I have not taken it off since it arrived. I was on the fence between the Sigma and Sony and went with the Sigma based on price. I’m sure the Sony lens is also fantastic, but hard to beat the price of the sigma. Portraits, landscapes, action… my photos have never looked better. Don’t hesitate with this purchase.

A lente que mais estou usando hoje. A nitidez dela é linda demais!!!
Ainda estou me acostumando com a velocidade do foco dela, mas acho que a longo prazo não vai ser mais um grande problema. Por enquanto estou amando os resultados!

  10. I love this lens

I have taken thousands of photos with this lens on a Lumix S5 before writing this review. It’s large and heavy, and I think that pairs well with the S5 which is a heavy camera. I use it mostly for street and action photography, and the size and weight help aim and stabilize the shots. I wish the autofocus could be faster, but honestly I think it’s respectable. For action photography, I often have to crop heavily. The lens resolution appears very well suitable for the 6K resolution of the S5. My S5 also has a 12K resolution mode, but it offers essentially zero benefit over the 6K mode due to chromatic aberration, so 6K appears to be the limit of either my camera or this lens.

  11. I love this lens

The image quality amazes me, it’s my first 35mm lens and I’m very satisfied. The speed is wonderful it’s difficult to get a blurry image, off course you have to change the settings so they correspond to your needs. The build quality and the appearance are very good too!

Fortunately my lens is not damaged like the package even if there is only the thin pouch between the lens and the box !
Even the package covering box was like someone played football with it…

The sigma lens is very good! I’d recommend it over the Sony GM if price is an issue (Sony has less fringing on the edges so better images). It feels solid and you get what you pay for.
It’s a sharp lens with good AF capabilities. I’d definitely recommend this lens for professional work.

Lens gets a 5 but not the shipping handling !
