Benjamin Mosely –
Bought these for hiking, but they feel too heavy for my longer hikes (5-10 miles). I may also need to get different laces as these always loosen up, even when I double-tie them. They are very comfortable and look nice – I got the dark brown color. What’s very annoying is how loud they squeak on smooth finished floors at work on vinyl floors and at home on tile floors.

Received these Monday today is Friday. I have been wearing them everyday. First thing I noticed about these boots was how well made and light they were. I read the reviews carefully before ordering as I am very picky about my footwear. One thing that almost put me off was the mention of a thick padded tongue. I am pleased to say that’s not the case. Boots have a normal tongue, not to thick. There was also mention of a problem with the laces. I have had no problems with the laces. Put them on snugged them up and wore them all day. No loosening or untying. In short these are a well made comfortable boot. The fit was perfect. Have worn them in the rain walking the dog several times and they seem waterproof. They were a little stiff the first couple of days but that is to be expected from a solid pair of leather boots. I am very pleased and would buy again. Also the price was very nice.

After buying 5 pairs of boots last year that didn’t fit! These boots are perfect size, light weight to wear and very comfortable! I bought 2 pairs Brown & Black as soon as I tried them on I wanted a pair to work in! They look nice & feels even better on my feet! I tried to buy another pair, but they didn’t have them!

This was truly water/snow proof with some traction in snow. But it was comfortable enough for me to take on a 9 mile hike with 2000 foot elevation gain and for me not to hate my feet at the end of the day. The cushioning and support earns high marks for that. The toebox is roomy and soft which really helps on long treks. They will also keep your foot warm but not hot and feel lighter than expected. The upper section of the boot is pretty rigid and gave a little bit of pressure after several hours but was breaking in. After washing them off from snow, rocks, and mud they still look new after a beating so that bodes well for the future. Was lucky to have these boots for my demanding hike.

I have had these boots over 1.5 years and put on over 500km and they are the first pair of many I have had over the years than are still waterproof. Most have relied on an expensive breathable membrane inner boot which fails in days to weeks, these rely on simply sealed exterior seams and a bonded sole, it works and keeps working. I was worried about these boots being excessively hot and sweaty this has not been a problem maybe because I bought these to use only as a winter boot and brought them 1/2 a size larger than usual to accommodate thicker than usual socks. About the only negative is that for some reasons the insoles are glued in place making basic hygiene very hard unless your willing to rip them out and risk damaging them. At the $120 I paid for them excellent value, at $200+ I would be taking a serious look at the competition although I still might come back to these, it’s hard to put a price on dry feet after a day in wet bush.

These are probably the most comfortable work shoes I have owned. I primarily wear them for yard work and have them on for some 8 hour work days with no discomfort. I suffer from severe neuropathy in the feet, thus I have to be very careful in the selection of shoes. These Skecher shoes really fit the bill for comfort and fit. After 4months, the durability looks promising.

very tight on instep of one foot , have never had this issue on other footwear so suspect it is the boot and will return to shipper if I can find the box

I received these today, put them on right out of the box, and went Christmas shopping. That’s one way to break in a new pair of leather boots! These were comfortable right away, courtesy of the nice insole with a gel center. I always wear gel inserts with boots and most shoes. Not necessary here, it’s built in. Now, of course they are a little stiff at first, just like any other new pair of leather footwear. But, as you can see from the photo, they are already starting to form around my ankle bone so they will provide support without rubbing. Waterproof? Unquestionably. That much is obvious from how they are designed and built. The tongue is secured to the inside up to where the bottom of the “Waterproof” shiny emblem is. That’s how deep a puddle you can stand in without worry of wet feet. If you need more, invest in a pair of hip-waders. I live in Texas on 30 acres of mostly marshland and, of course, we get the annual hurricanes and floods. I’m not worried about that now. Plus, they look good enough that with a little polish and shine, I can wear them to the office. Today rained pretty good and everywhere I went indoors had wet floors and stone, marble or polished concrete underfoot. Any new shoe soles need to be abraded a bit to wear off the slippery new factory finish. I did this by walking from the parking lot to the mall and had no slipping at all once inside. I wear a size 8.5W, ordered a size 8.5M, and they fit perfectly. I took a chance on the “Relaxed Fit” and it paid off. They are insulated enough for Texas winters (only 30F or so) and I don’t think it’s too much for summer (100F +), but I’ll let ya’ll know.
Verdict: A good, comfortable pair of boots that shrug off weather and don’t cost a car payment.
Cons: If I find one, I’ll revise my review and let ya’ll know.

I’m a woman who works in a warehouse, mostly indoors but sometimes I do work in the trailer yard, and I needed some work boots that were:
1) Waterproof
2) Women’s 9.5 Wide
3) No steel toe
4) Durable
5) Not ludicrously expensive
The options in the “women’s work boots” weren’t doing it for me–anything that fit 1-4 was closing in on $200 and that just won’t do. So I looked up the conversions and found these much more affordable men’s boots, and I couldn’t be happier with them.
These boots were ridiculously comfortable as soon as I put them on and required essentially zero break-in time. I wore them to do some house cleaning/furniture moving for about two hours and I had no negative reaction, and I’ve been wearing them almost every day to work. The toe box is massive, I can wiggle my toes comfortably, and I can wear them with both thin and thick socks.
I’ve also struggled with some significant foot pain with no known origin. Stretching my toes and using various foot massagers has provided some temporary relief, but it always came back within a day. But a combination of the above and wearing these boots seems to have been my fix–they’re supportive while also giving plenty of room to stretch and move. I worked 60 hours this last week, wearing these boots, and my foot feels fine for the first time I can remember on a weekend.
