This works well! The magnet stays on the car when I need it to. It’s convenient for leaning the boards against the car while getting ready to load them up.

Bought as a Christmas gift for someone who frequently 1 day/weekend boards so lots of setting board & skis against the car while getting ready. This is used every time and protects both the car and the boards/skis. We accidentally left it on the car for about 5 miles in snowy windy conditions off the mountain and this was still perfectly magnetized to the car like we hadn’t done all that.
I accidentally bought two so I may keep it, it clearly works well and I think it adds value.
I do think its a bit pricey.

Adheres well to our SUV, however you should confirm that you have a good flat spot before purchasing… there is only one spot that works on ours, and that is just above the wheel well…
It is smaller than I had understood it to be and the slots do not hold 4 pairs of skiis well.

The snostrip works very well to help keep skis and poles from scratching the paint on our car. My only criticism is that the magnets don’t seem that strong. It is very easy for the strip to slide if it is bumped. Overall, I’d buy it again, but stronger magnets would be great.

This product just makes SO much sense! Anyone who has skied or boarded knows the stress of watching people lean their sharpened edges against your car as they get gear situated…and I would bet that everyone has also watched as the skis, poles, and boards all topple over, potentially damaging both car and gear. I have used the SnoStrip for nearly 3 seasons now (and just added a second to accommodate my kids’ skis as they’ve grown) and ended up purchasing an extra 4 SnoStrips to give as gifts to my whole ski crew this past holiday season. They’re that good. And absolute BONUS points that the strip is magnetic (and strong enough to stay in place all season, at highway speeds and Wisconsin winter conditions!!!). I just stick it on in December and remove it in March. These are a elegant solution to a common problem. Highly recommended.

It holds onto two sets of skis and poles nicely, and it’s easy to stick onto and remove from the car without marring.
The one minor gotcha I’ve noticed is that on our old Civic Si, the one good mounting place puts it near the waist of the skis. That means that, at least with our cambered skis, a pair needs to straddle a ‘finger’ rather than rest between fingers, so there isn’t really room for more than two pair of skis. Not a huge deal for me, but if you’re packing the car with people, you may need find a higher mount point or a second strip for the other side of the vehicle.
I also find the strip handy when I get home. I can stick the strip on the edge of a metal storage rack to hold gear while I’m unpacking. I’ve only used it for half a season so far, but although light and very flexible, it has held up well. With the addition of some brightly colored stickers on the ends (to make it easier to find in the dark car trunk), I’m very pleased with this thing!

I like the concept of the product but it is not durable. The magnets delaminated from the frame on both sides. They are strong enough to stay on at highway speeds, but the foam backing started falling apart within a month. Considering the price, this is a very short lifetime for the product. The concept is good but needs some refining.
