I’ve been battling acne for years and it only went away while I was pregnant, now that I’m nearly a year postpartum my hormones leveled out and my acne returned with a fury. The only thing that has helped me see an instant change in my skin is Vitamin A and of course it makes sense since this is the most effective acne treatment a dermatologist can offer you in the form of Acutane or if you are able to handle the topical skincare version which is Retinol/Retin-A. Those options are not possible for me so I am just taking one daily dose of this supplement and it’s changed my skin completely, even the texture is smoother and the excess sebum dried up. If you want to take it a step further to help vitamin absorption and improve skin recovery I recommend adding Zinc, Vitamim B5 (the only B vitamin that doesn’t cause acne in my experience), and Vitamin D to your daily routine.

I was skeptical about the container being made of glass, but it adds to the high quality. Easy to swallow, but be cautious not to keep this under direct sunlight for too long. Other than that, great stuff!

Great product, quick delivery

Good for eyes. I want to buy again. Now unavailable.

It seems that there is something in every multivitamin out there that I can’t tolerate, so I take vitamins and minerals individually or in a pill with just a few vitamins included. I wanted a pill with vitamin A at approximately the RDA, not some huge dose. This pill is also relatively inexpensive and easy to swallow and digest so it hits the mark for me.

I am a pharmacist and was doing some research on female hair thinning because my hair was starting to thin. It seems the answer from all of the professionals is well your hair thins when you get older. That may be true, but I still think there are ways to help slow down that process. my research showed that vitamin A is a vital part of her health and I was not getting a lot of foods in my diet with vitamin A. I began supplementing with this product about six months ago and I have seen more hair growth and less breakage. Obviously this is an antidotal Situation. But it never hurts to try it out. Always contact your physician before adding any herbal supplements.

I have had good results in general with the solgar brand. I found this dry version to be very effective beyond some of the things like acne that most may hear about and is in a good dose that I can adjust as needed adding more or cutting while being inexpensive. Another one I used is cod liver oil from rosita’s or nordic naturals-arctic, but not the D fortified version as a more natural version. This being a tablet is convenient when that is not an option.
There’s a common misunderstanding that beta-carotene found in fruits and vegetables is the same thing as vitamin A. Beta Carotene can be converted to retinol which is the active form, but I found that almost half of everyone have variants in our BCMO1 gene which cause a 30% to 70% decrease in the amount of vitamin A that we can convert from beta-carotene.This means that – contrary to popular wisdom – vegetables like carrots and red peppers are not adequate food sources of vitamin A for most. I would imagine that would impact vegetarians/vegans the most, but I dont get much of the retinol forms of A too often and my multi has beta carotene form so I decided to supplement. I also found out that Vitamin D depletes Retinol in the liver and vitamin A is also necessary for increasing the production of ceruloplasmin to make copper and iron more bio available. The body uses retinol in a variety of ways including in stem cells, photoreceptors in the eye, epithelial cells, embryonic cells, various immune cells, red blood cells, and much more.
Not very scientific, but I believe my eyes stuck together when I woke up when the A was low. Let me know what you find.
