Are you wasted a lot of filament and failed Prints before a YouTube video told me I need to wash the bed product worked as intended after.

10/10 it comes very well packaged. Well enough that when you watch the delivery guy yeets it a good 4m to your door that it’s perfectly fine. It’s dead flat and I can’t complement it enough.

There’s not a lot to write here. Glass is flat, not warped like the metal beds of most printers, so there are no low or high spots.

I have been using this glass plate with the large purple Elmer’s glue stick for a couple months. The prints stay attached to the bed and don’t warp, and are pretty easy to remove. The glue removes easily with water, and the plate is ready to go again in a minute or two.

I tried a few different build surfaces, most worked well for small PLA prints, but larger prints warped and separated from the build surface. I gave up on using build surfaces for PETG, as the prints would bond so well that I destroyed the build surface trying to get the print off.

I am happy with the simple glass plate and glue stick. I find that it works very well, is relatively trouble-free and economical.

This glass bed has been working great for me for the last several months on my Ender 3 Pro. I clip it to the bed with binder clips to hold it in place and use unscented aquanet hairspray for adhesion and have had minimal issues removing prints. I used calipers to measure the thickness of the glass and physically raised the z-stop switch to make sure I had the right amount of clearance to accommodate it on the bed. It heats up well and appears to distribute the heat evenly. I had some issues at first with warping, but solved the problem with a thicker application of aquanet and a slightly higher bed temp. If using additional products like hairspray, be sure to clean the glass and apply a fresh coat before every print. I have tried to make the hairspray last through more than one print, and it just works better to start with a clean surface. I have been printing with PLA and PETG. I know that printing PETG with a glass bed can be tricky because you run the risk of it fusing with the glass and destroying the print and the glass, but I have used aquanet with every print and only had issues removing one item – it was a large drink coaster with a thick flat bottom and I didn’t use enough spray. After it cooled, I was able to remove it with some effort. My longest PETG print was about 22 hours and it popped right off the glass with a gentle tug after it cooled off. Even if I do break the glass at some point, it’s been working well enough so far that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this product again. I’ve had far more success with this than the magnetic build surface that came with my Ender 3 Pro.

I question whether this is actually borosilicate glass as it had a green tint on the edges (see photo). My experience tells me that this is in fact not, and is more likely soda ash glass. I cannot tell without potentially destroying the glass, which would be asinine, or having access to a lab, which I don’t have. I am disappointed as I paid more for glass claiming to be borosilicate. In hindsight I should have sourced it from a better place that I trust.
I kept them and they do work well. No issues with adhesion whatsoever. Leveling was easy as I used the glass as a shim when I raised the z stop. It’s not bad glass. Should serve most people well. I am generally satisfied, I just don’t think it’s actually borosilicate. Your mileage may vary.

I am using this on an Ender 3 Pro (with the magnetic removable bed cover). I never really had issues with bed adhesion on prints with a larger surface area. However, when printing smaller objects I consistently had issues with the filament sticking on a certain part of my bed because of what I suspect is a warped bed.

I decided to try one of these glass beds instead. I removed the magnetic part and then used binder clips to attach this glass. Then re-level the printer. My success rate went up immediately. It got even better once I started using the purple Elmers glue. I haven’t had a print fail in 1-2 months from adhesion issues.

Sometimes it can be tough to get the print to come off the bed. The best solution I have found is to remove the glass and put it (and the print) in the freezer. After about 20 minutes in the freezer the print should come right off. It might even just fall off so be careful.

I clean it after every 4-5 prints just to remove the gunk. Just run it under the faucet and rub the glue with your fingers until it is gone. Once the water hits it. it will turn purple again so you can see where you’ve cleaned and where you haven’t.

Hopefully some new Ender 3 users find this helpful.

Switched from the magnetic base to this. The magnetic base was too scratchable, which put funky patterns on the bottom of my prints. The bottom of prints peeling off this are full on reflective. It’s like a mirror.

Aquanet hair spray is what I saw everyone recommending and it works so flawlessly with this. Clings when hot, releases when cool.

Super easy to clean, little windex and all the super fine bits of plastic that the scraper doesn’t want to pull up will come right off.

Can’t imagine myself switching to anything else.

I purchased this Borosilicate Glass printer bed for my Ender 3 Pro. The bed is a perfect fit for the print area, and a fantastic upgrade from the stock magnetic build plates. My Ender’s bed is not very flat, and I’ve had to adjust my bed level before every print attempt to compensate.

With the glass bed installed, setting and maintaining the bed level is vastly improved. The bed is relatively thick, and it rides above any small imperfections on the underlying heated bed surface. The glass itself is very level, providing a very consistent plane to print onto. The extra weight of the glass I view as a feature, as it seems to help dampen any small vibrations from the printer’s use.

The bed was thoughtfully shipped and well protected. I’m very happy with the quality of the received product. I can’t review the adhesive properties of the bed itself, as I paired it with a PEI sheet. The PEI sheet is absolutely magical when it comes to PLA adhesion. Between the smooth, flat leveling of the glass, and the powerful adhesion of the PEI sheet, my Ender 3’s printing experience has been transformed. Prints start without complaint, and stay frozen in place the entire time.
