I am allergic to dairy. So I decided to try this organic Sunwarrior fit and lean unsweetened protein classic plus dietary supplement. It has fermented pea protein, fermented brown rice, not fermented quinoa, not fermented chia seeds, not fermented amaranth.
I eat a no fat, no sugar, no oil, no salt clean Whole Foods plant based diet. I had high hopes for this protein powder because I lift weights. And I was trying to increase my leucine for muscle protein synthesis. Honestly I would rather eat egg whites to get my leucine, they do not bloat me and they taste good.

I tried mixing this Sunwarrior protein powder with oat milk and fruit, nope. It was disgusting. All I could taste was the Sapins from the quinoa. Super gross. I tried mixing it with almond milk, nope not good.
I tried mixing it just with water. Nope. Gross.
I tried mixing it with another plant based protein powder by Kachava and fruit. Nope. It was super gross.

Doctor Gundry says don’t drink pulverized plant proteins or pulverized dairy whey proteins they all spike your glucose. So my advise is eat your food in its whole unprocessed form. If you eat grains (quinoa, amaranth, brown rice, green peas) cooked them and they taste much better than raw powder! I did drink this stuff several times. I forced myself to gulp it down because it was expensive. Drinking some fermented and some raw grains and seeds just BLOATS me up like I am 8 months pregnant and it tastes awful!

I read the reviews and ignored them. I thought, hey most people eat a high sugar diet so that is why they don’t like this protein powder, I might like it just fine. So I purchased it and tried it. Nope. I do not like it. I will eat my food whole. I gave some to my family and they are not picky at all but they would not drink it even with tons of organic fruit in it. I am tossing the rest of this into cooked oatmeal and I will cook it.

A great product. From 1 scoop (25g) you get 24g of protein, IMO not many products offer this kind of ratio when it comes to protein.
Pea and rice protein cover all types of amino acids, from a nutrition and recovery point of view it is very helpful. I have used sunwarrior many times now and think it really helps with my bodybuilding goals.

This is my third purchase of this product. I like the taste and sometimes add frozen bananas or other things to make a thick and delicious smoothy. I noticed the container is made from recycled material which is another plus for Sunwarrior.

I love the Sun Warrior products and prefer less ingredients than more. I could do without the guar gum. It’s a classic product with amino acids and the price was good. It’s nice to have a different blend to add variety to my diet.

I love this stuff! I’ve been taking various types of protein powder over the past several months, but finally found the perfect one in this. I do not use whey because I try to stick to a plant-based diet, but I also want a protein powder with the correct amino acids to build muscle. Sun Warrior uses the plant-based proteins that are “complete,” so it checks that box. Further, I can’t get over how good it tastes on its own. I use the plain (unflavored) one, but I love the taste! It’s a bit savory, which makes sense since it’s made of tasty grains like quinoa and amaranth. I put a scoop in one cup of almond milk and use a mini battery-powered milk frother, which you can buy for under 10 bucks, to mix it. It’s perfect.

I love the product. However the seal on the top of the container was broken. My frustration is with Amazon and the inability to have contact with anyone for help. No simple way to return a damaged product.

I just keep coming back to Sunwarrior Classic Unflavored. It seems like every other vegan protein on the market uses awful additives/fillers or excessive sweeteners and flavorings. But this brand is simple, digestible, and perfect in a smoothie. The unflavored version tastes quite awful on its own (it’s bitter), but blends up beautifully in a smoothie. Here’s how I make mine:

    – 1 scoop unflavored sunwarrior classic
    – 2 organic medjool dates
    – 1 banana (optional)
    – handful of soaked walnuts
    – a scoop of cooked oatmeal (for easiest digestion!)
    – lots of cinnamon
    – chlorine-free water!

This smoothie is SO satisfying and I can really FEEL how much energy I get from this stuff. Plus it doesn’t upset my very sensitive digestion! I’m not even vegan (anymore), but this powder remains my favorite source of protein. I am already looking forward to tomorrow’s smoothie. 🙂

Sunwarrior, please don’t ever stop making this protein! It’s the best on the market!

look, the negative reviews have a point. the taste is not great, and it could be blended more fine to reduce the slight grittiness. 8/10 on the grit scale (10 being best blended).

but todays products have waaay too much sweeteners. if you blend anything sweetened into your shake, then taking sweeteners out of you protein is a good start. for me, all my additives are unsweetened because my protein has always been heavily sweetened. i’m starting out by mixing in some leftover sweetened protein with this. i will keep reducing the ratio until the old protein is gone.
i have tried it with no sweeteners with my current unsweetened blend, and the natural sweetness of the ag1 powder makes it just barely decent. this is how i want to start my day.

give healthy a try. it will grow on you

ONLY FERMENTED RICE PROTEIN. Other protein powders are made from peas and other sources that, together with flavors and a bunch of added chemicals have caused me more harm than good. Now I keep it simple and feel great. great.4free
