I have 2 talks, gd93ce, good quality. So I needed a living room guitar at the house, so I bought this…this peice of junk. Should have returned it but got too busy. Guess I’ll get some long sheetrock screws and use it as decoration in my garage.

The guitar never could reproduce the excellent sound the guitars made in Japan by Takamine! I recently got rid of a Taylor guitar I had owned for years…. I never could get the sound quality out of this guitar as my other Taylor guitars! When I went to trade the guitar in on another guitar I found out why! The dang thing was made in China! Of course the notification showing where the guitar was made was well hidden by Taylor! I will not buy from Taylor guitars again! If you want a really excellent guitar from Takamine; then make sure it is one made in Japan!!

Set-up great right out of the box. Great value. Plays very similar to a Tak I had in the 90s that cost twice as much! Very happy!

Love the sound on this guitar. The cedar top gives a warm, deep tone that I enjoy. Great to finger pick or strum. Can’t beat the price!
This is my favorite guitar that I own. Takamine is a hand made guitar from Japan and the quality is exceptional. I’ve played this out and people always ask where I get the tone from. This is it.

Great guitar for the price. Glad I was home when it arrived as it was obvious that it was a guitar. Arrived in great shape and little tightening needed on neck truss.

Equal to other guitars at twice the price. The Takamine GD20CE NS is an awesome instrument. Perfect for the beginner, intermediate and professional venues. The cedar top brings deep bass and mellow mids that are beautifully accented by perfectly intonated trebles. A great addition for any style and perfectly balanced for fingerstyle players too. It’s quality at an affordable price.

Lovely guitar, I’m a fan of Cedar tops for that added little warmth. For the price this guitar has some pretty great features: solid top, electronics, cutaway, warm balanced tone, easy playability. The action and ease of neck is what drew me to it, price point is what sold me on it.

Great guitar; really wanted a Takamine and the lower-priced options are definitely worth a look at. At first glance by my local guitar repair guy, this was “one of the best set-up out of the box I’ve ever seen.”
Taking one star off because of their choice of strings; while they are D’Addario 0.012-0.053, they are the EXP coated ones that really deaden the sound. If you’re sounding a bit acoustically dead, try replacing them with the regular D’Addario Phosphor Bronze Lights. In addition, the 10th fret was a little high which made the 9th fret buzz quite a bit on the high E.
