The peg area was completely separated from the neck. The box was not damaged. I didn’t even remove it from the box as the damage was so obvious. Very disappointed, but I will return for a refund. Amazon is good for that.

I received this guitar yesterday and even though the box was a little beat up by Fedex, the guitar inside was mint. No scratches, or broken strings, nothing at all. The built in tuner works great as well!

he was amazed and happy and in love with it.

Defective: I’m writing bcz the guitar is defective where the strings attached is un gluing if that’s a word so I’m returning it back. Trust me the guitar is gorgeous my husband loved it but unfortunately later in the future it won’t work we even took it to guitar center and the only resolution was to return it. We are sad now. But trust me beautiful guitar. Im putting pictures up that way they can see where is un sticking.

My son loves it. Can’t go wrong with this brand even if this model is made in china. I believe the pro series are made in Japan but 3x the cost.

Ok- so this guitar’s made in China. Regardless, it’s reliable, rugged, and a it’s workhorse. Back in the day perhaps Tak’s were looked down on, now their made in Japan (MIJ) models are quite expensive. Next best thing are these- made with the same good Takamine production values.
Use this guitar on stage, rehearsal, and even accidentally knocked it around. Still works and electronics are fine.
Strung with light gauge 12 sting set, tune it a half step down for easier fretting, and removed the 6th and 5th unison strings which makes it a 10 stringer. Capo it to where you need. Sounds great on covers of Dead or Alive, Stairway to Heaven, Leo Kottke stuff, etc…

Bought this for my husband for our 40th anniversary. He has the six strings and is in love with the 12 string. It has a beautiful rich sound.
