MS20RL14C SUPER SENSITIVE TAMA 14″ 20 strands is the model my reveiw is about. These are the best sounding snare wires I have used. I will take them over the Puresound Blasters, and the Canopus Vintage.
Clear, crisper, and more sensitive with less rattle. Improved the sound of my Pearl free floater 14×6.5 and came stock on my Tama Slp G Maple 14×6. They are a thinner gauge carbon steel than most, with less curly wind. I do not know how long they will last being a lighter gauge. But they sure do sound great for a solid loud clean crack and for ghost notes and rolls. I Love them. They cost more than Blasters but less than Canopus. Try a set !

I put these Tama Snappy snares on a 1962 Ludwig Supraphonic chrome over aluminum snare drum that my father bought for me along with the Ludwig Hollywood Double Tom set. I was 15 years old in 1962. I also added a new snare side head. The batter head had been changed several times over the decades. This is an old snare drum, but it still sounds great and I put a lot of miles on it playing in different groups over the years. I am proud to have it in my collection.

Bought better quality heads for new metal snare. Also replaced wires with these ones. Love the sound. Crisp and tight.

Bought a Tama Superstar classic a few years ago. Changed the drumheads and it is a quality set at a great price, especially the hardware. But the snare was always the weakest link. Was looking at the Tama SLP snares and they kept on referencing the snappy snares. So tries them them, love them and saved a few hundred dollars I’m not replacing the snare. Now it has a nice loud crack with much less buzz.

Great articulation of ghost notes a far cry from other brands and I’m not a tama enthusiast.

Consigliatissima.

Just mounted these bad boys on my snare. They don’t take away from the natural tone of the snare and deliver an impressive crack! I love the mounting straps as well
