The beater is very quiet, I doubt there is a quieter beater out there, but it does change the feel of the kick pedal a lot and that takes a bit of getting used to, but if you need a very quiet beater, this is probably it. The sponge on the beater head is very very soft, it’s not dense.

Bought this beater for my Cajon kick pedal. Gives me a warmer thump sound than a felt beater or even my palm. For increased volume, my Cajon has a piezo pickup with volume and tone control.

This thing allows a soft deep boom but without the attack. It’s way better than silencer pads.

Tama is more expensive than a few on Amazon but the quality is way better. Using on a Remo silent kick drum head the volume is so low and the feel is really smooth exactly what I was looking for.

To be honest, I’m a hardcore Tama guy. Over the years I’ve used different mutes for my snare. O rings just dampen way too much. This on the other hand is big and small enough to serve that purpose. I really like this even though its a bass drum beater. Hope it helps.

Was honestly using towels wrapped around my existing beater before buying this. Wanted a beater for lower volume, softer bass. Not a “click” or “boom” but more of a “thump” which is what I was looking for. Sounds great with brushes or hot rods. Very natural feel. I’m a fan! Wish these were a few dollars cheaper though.

I just receive it and I really like the noise reduction of this beater. The boom from the BD is much quieter.
My goal was to use use this beater with an RTOM Black Hole and it’s a perfect match! The noise reduction is awesome with both, I can do BD pattern at night. My only concern is this beater is durable? I’ll known it in a few months since I play mostly fast rock or punk.

It is really light and makes one adjust to almost stomping the pedal harder to accommodate to actually hearing the kick drum. For practice in apartment or basement it maybe the way to go as long as you don’t adjust your playing style with the kick drum. It does definitely reduce the volume of the kick drum when playing normally and not stomping to to accommodate how much it reduces the volume of the kick

Is not suitable for e-drums. I have a mesh head kick drum and the beater is so soft, that the mesh head couldn’t pick all the beats properly, even after increasing the sensitivity of the drum.

As the title states, this doesnt work with an Alesis Nitro Mesh kit. If you turn the sensitivity all the way up on your bass drum and kick hard, you can get it to read, but that defeats the purpose of having this, because it makes a lot of noise just to get the kit to read the beat. Pretty disappointed

But I decided to give it 3 stars, because this product would work very well on an acoustic kit or an electronic kit with a higher sensitivity reading. But if you have the nitro mesh kit like me, don’t bother.

This is what you are looking for. I have tried a tennis ball as well as a kickless pedal. The tennis ball was still too loud and the kickless pedal didn’t feel right and was triggering when I didn’t want it to. This is the perfect medium. It’s totally quiet and it triggers perfectly on a Yamaha dtx6kx. I think I played around with a couple of velocity curve options to make sure it was loud enough but not difficult to do at all. I can still kick like I want to without making a noise and it triggers when I want it to. Perfect.

  13. No atenua nada
