Not freezing ice cream. Not sure if my freezer is not cold enough or this ice cream maker just doesn’t work well enough. After mixing though you can freeze in freezer. May be able to do that without this ice cream naker though.
Thomas Legare –
Great value. But recipes aren’t great. Used recipes online that use only heavy cream and that helps a lot.

The ice cream maker never made ice cream! Instead, it only swirled around the liquid in the machine while never setting up and getting firm. I allowed it to run for 45 minutes and it was the same liquid consistency. The cylinder was frozen in the freezer for one week and once I took it out of the freezer, I used it immediately.
I would not recommend this ice cream maker. I’m shocked that Cuisinart allows its brand name to appear on this appliance.

Hate the color, but love the machine. I asked for yellow, but they sent a peachy pink. Not my taste. It arrived too late for me to exchange for the color I requested. I ordered yellow but received peach.

We used this for the first time last night and it worked great. The ice cream had a very smooth soft-serve texture…even the dog enjoyed her tablespoonful. I put the leftover ice cream in a plastic container with a snug lid and put it in the freezer. This afternoon it is a little harder, but not too much. The texture is still very smooth and the ice cream is very tasty. It reminds me of the homemade ice cream that we used to make in the old hand-crank wooden ice cream churn. My grandfather would put a folded towel on the top of the churn, one of us kids would sit on it to hold it down because the hook was broken, then he would crank and crank and crank. We would always pick fresh blackberries to go with the ice cream. Those were the days! This ice cream took me on a very pleasant walk down memory lane.
