è una piccola chitarra acustica ma un gran volume e un suono caldo e piacevole, con un pizzico anche di sustain, nonostante le sue dimensioni. La consiglio a tutti quelli che cercano un buon compromesso tra suono e trasportabilità.

This guitar is acoustic only (no electronics) and was purchased for use by a small person with short arms and small hands. The size is very manageable, and the action setting on the strings makes is much easier to play than the typical “standard” setting on another, larger guitar. Guitar was boxed well, was packed in a well-padded custom gig bag, arrived in perfect condition, and arrived a day earlier than originally predicted. The mini needed only minor tuning, and it was ready to play — straight out of the gig bag and has a great sound overall.

No problems to report with the product.

Diese kleine Taylor hat einen wirklich super Sound, wie man ihn bei dieser Korpusgröße nicht erwarten würde. Die Verarbeitung ist wunderbar und das mitgelieferte bietet wirklich ausreichenden Schutz.

This really is a beautiful guitar and for $500 this is no cheap beginner guitar, This is a Taylor! Its very comfortable to play and take around with me. Its not just my travel guitar but my main guitar now. It has a very bright and crisp sound with great dynamics. and It also comes with a super nice case.

This guitar is freaking awesome! I am absolutely taken by this guitar well done Taylor. I bought this travel guitar just to play around the house so I could strap it on my shoulder and play troubadour while watching my kids play from room to room. It is nice and compact so I could just sling it onto my back and pick up my toddler if she falls down or gets into something she’s not supposed to. It surpassed my every expectation and I instantly fell in love with it. The tone is simply brilliant from such a small size guitar. Taylor really went all out in the quality and fine craftsmanship of the GS mini. The ebony fretboard and elixir strings are as smooth as velvet which makes for easy chord progressions. The only thing I would change if I could would be the nut size I have fairly fat fingers and the smaller nut size makes it a little difficult for me to get my fingering right. If Taylor would make a special edition with a larger nut size I would definitely buy that one too.

This is my third acoustic guitar, and is the best sounding, most fun-to-play steel string that I own. Since I bought this Taylor, the only other guitar I really touch is my classical. The gig bag it comes with is great. The size of the guitar makes it perfect for lounging on the sofa playing- you know, all those times we don’t use correct posture and end up with spre knecks and shoulders? None of that with this. But again, most important is that it is so playable and responsive and produces a beautiful tone. It’s a great guitar for all skill levels.

I love, love this guitar. I’m no proffesional but both my sons play so we have several guitars in our home and as players we range from novice to pro. My oldest son plays and performs in public, but when he comes home he always grabs my Taylor. And always remarks what a great tone it has for a smaller guitar. I ordered this because I am petite and have much smaller hands than my sons and I wanted something smaller and easier to play and learn on (and also hoping my boys wouldn’t claim it as their own.) It looks beautiful and sounds wonderful. It’s a favorite by all of the pickers in our home. And the size is perfect for me (smaller hands) and for traveling. I was a bit nervous to order this from Amazon, but I always rely on reviews and this didn’t dissapoint. If you have a beginner in the house or a younger player with smaller hands, or just want a great sounding travel guitar I highly recommend!!!

After playing this guitar for 6 months, I can tell you that this is hands down my favorite guitar! Those are tall words because I have a 2001 Martin 00028EC acoustic in pristine condition that will shortly be listed on Ebay. Before you start typing up your comments on how crazy I am , give me another sentence or two to explain. I have really small hands and can play the Taylor technically better than my Martin because the neck is much wider causing lots of buzz and unwanted sounds. Because I can “play” the mini better and more precise it sounds better to my ear. Yes, the Martin will play louder with more punch and articulation but for shear playing enjoyment, I really love the mini!! I leave it around my house on the sofa, on my bed, it its around and always within reach. I take it with me wherever I go and didn’t breakdown in tears when I got my first ding. Its portable, playable and sounds absolutely amazing to my ear. If your a beginner about to make your first purchase, this is absolutely the guitar for you. If your advanced, you should go play one. I did make a few minor adjustments to “tweak” the guitar. Mainly I sanded the bridge to lower the playing action and changed out the nut to a zero fret nut which makes playing cowboy chords louder and crisp. Taylor must be selling a ton of these babies because they are now made in like 6 different styles. I hope Taylor contacts me to be their spokesperson for the “Old Guys with small hands market segment”, because I want a GS Mini in KOA!!!

I love this guitar so much, I want to pick it up and play it all the time. The fretboard is 1/16″ inch narrower than my Yamaha dreadnought, which makes hitting chords much easier, and the 3/4 size makes it much easier to hold in my lap and get my arm over the top of it. Despite the small size it has a beautiful, full tone and can stand up to really aggressive strumming. Other, lesser guitars that I’ve owned, the tone starts to distort and fall apart with loud playing. Not so the Mini-GS. I heartily recommend it.

I bought this guitar for my 7 year old son. I wanted a guitar with a really great sound, because I see it as an essential component to developing an appreciation for music. If it doesn’t make a quality sound, what is there to appreciate after all??? I’m sure a lot of people would find this a waste of money for a child, but I believe learning on toys is a big part of why kids quit so often… So, I trusted the reviews I read here on Amazon, and continued my research on YouTube. This travel sized guitar was a bit larger than the standard kids guitars (glorified toys…), but manageable for my average sized 7 year old son. This guitar can be heard from one side of the house to the other. The sound is beautiful, and really makes the pay off for him hitting his notes immediate. He loves it. I am extremely happy with this purchase. If you are unsure, I suggest looking up videos reviews of the baby Taylor, as well. This one is more likely to be used into adulthood, as a travel guitar, but the baby Taylor’s reviews are good as well.

Expensive, but really good quality. It really projects due to a clever design of having a bigger sound hole and a bevel in the rear.

Potential buyers should be aware that the neck is really quite thin. It’s very easy to mute strings unintentionally due to the thin neck. I have thin fingers too – the Elixir strings [that come with it] are also coated, so it is partly that fingers can kind of slide off the strings. The coating on these strings is impressive, I mean these strings really last; I bought this guitar some time ago before writing this.

Soundwise, I recommend going on Youtube (or a guitar store) and seeing what they sound like. The GS mini comes in a few different wood types, so make sure you get the sound you want. They all have great sounds.

The travel bag is really good too, light but well padded.

The action standard is good, and the frets are quite big. So it’s quite an easy guitar to play I find.

I think this guitar would really shine for young people or women with small hands. This is such a good acoustic guitar if you’ve got small hands. I can play it fine with my hands, it’s an adult guitar, but I play it and wish its neck was just slightly bigger.

Solid, well made, pretty-looking guitar that plays beautifully. There are no issues with tone or the sound and I could see purchasing this guitar even if size were not a consideration. One review mentions getting the guitar for $420 and argues this as a more reasonable price-point. I’d take the deal if I got it, but don’t agree if the point is relative to its being made in Mexico or being a 3/4 sized guitar. I would compare this instrument to any other acoustic guitar at $500 made domestically or abroad. I ordered it online and have no regrets .. Taylor knows they have a successful line here and want to keep it that way. Have been playing in open D which it handles admirably .. using a slide .. great harmonics in all positions. Very satisfied with purchase.
