If your eyesight is sharp enough to read tiny print, and you can write in tiny boxes, and you like challenging crosswords, this is for you.

I nought this for work – I work alone so I keep one of these on hand for when I hit a lull in the day with nothing to do.
I love the spiral-bound format – I can do them with one-hand and not have to hold the other side down or worry about it flipping closed, which is nice when you have a pen in one hand a sandwich in the other.
The paper stock is nice and heavy weight; the ink doesn’t bleed through and a drop of coffee doesn’t render the clue illegible.
I will admit – these are not NYT calibre; however, they are also not for those who like easy-peasy crosswords. They are challenging enough that I have to put some thought into the answers, but am also able to have one eye on the computer.
My only gripe, but I have this with so many crossword books, is I hate the puzzles where the answer letters are two to a block. Fortunately, I’ve hit very few of those (maybe one a book?) so it is not a deal breaker for me.
I will say, for the price, what you get is reasonable. I have spent more on an omnibus of 250 puzzles with hard-level puzzles that a 5th grader could complete.

I like the challenges, but find the print smaller than I would prefer. These are all same level puzzles which I would say are 3 to 4 star difficulty as rated in the Premium Daily book.

I am pretty good at crosswords but these were a bit much. Still, I did get many hours of entertainment out of them so I got my money’s worth. The actual book quality, spiral binding, paper .. all top notch. On the smaller side spaces for answers, hard on the eyes.

I’ve been doing the NYT crossword for decades. These Sunday WSJ puzzles are great entertainment, challenging too.

I am somewhat of a crossword junkie (stop laughing at me!) and received this as a gift from my wife. Love the quality of the book. Very nice and infinitely better than folding a WSJ paper. The crosswords are considered 5-Star (Saturday edition as WSJ does not currently produce Sunday editions).

Very challenging but, great for Crossword lovers. After completing this book, I like liked it so much that I ordered another version of WSJ crosswords.

If you like to sit for hours and puzzle out the answers this is the book for you. The clues are oblique so it takes some figuring to come up with the words that fit together. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist for this book but you do need a nimble mind.
