I’ve tried three other roof racks over the years, and this one is by far the one that has given me the most peace of mind and satisfaction. No need to check on whether the screws are still tight, or the suction cups still airtight, even on long distances. This roof rack is rock solid. Nothing is going to fly away or get loose. The locking mechanism securing the front axle engages with a satisfying “Click” and the green tab that appears on the lock down handle gives you an extra guarantee. The roof rack itself mounts surprisingly quickly. The product is made in Poland, and its finish definitely superior compared to stuff that comes from Asia. IMO, this is a superior product.

If you have a road bike, and want to prevent the bike from swaying side to side while riding on the highway, this is your solution. It is relatively easy to set up and get going. It is a little bit annoying to take off your front bike wheel and put on the attachment in order to clip on. But if you’re going for a long rides, this is the solution. The bike clips in real easy and is 9 out of 10 in terms of stability on the road.

The instructions are virtually unusable and once afixed to a roof rack, It feels like anything could pop the levers that hold it secure. I would not recommend this device.

I really wanted this rack to work. I persisted through the terrible assembly instructions (just pictures, no words), then went on a trip to bring my bike home. Even though it is supposed to be supported – it’s a standard Specialized model with a 9mm through-axle front wheel – it didn’t fit. I couldn’t use the rack.
There is no indication in the description that this will not fit a Specialized through-axle front fork with a 4″ spread. The part that holds the axle is 4-5/16″. It can’t be adapted without sawing off the end of it…not a good idea.
I confirmed with Thule that the rack can not be used with my bike. They were apologetic and said I should return it. That wasn’t very helpful after the long assembly process and wasted trip.
It makes me wonder…how many other bikes will this fail to work with?

Easy to setup, install, and load/mount your bicycle on. Did ~1500 miles with this recently, and it’s so easy to use it’s criminal. The green tab is awesome for letting you know it’s locked in place (contrary to other opinions/reviews) because in an instant you can look up at it and know your bike is secure. The cable lock on the back is good enough to prevent theft. A front lock would make this thing even better, but doesn’t detract from an excellent, well thought out product from Thule. Don’t listen to the haters, if you want a roof mounted bike rack that’s versatile enough for gravel, mountain, or road, this is the one to get.

I am sure this is a solid bike carrier if you use it on Thule roof racks, but this does not work well with Subaru factory bars in my experience. The front can be secured properly no issue, but the rear side relies solely on a janky lever to fixate a clamp if you have a rounded aluminum bar like the Subaru has. It even wiggles after tighten it as best as I could. I can’t imagine mounting my bike on this and go through a rough terrain. The lever looks like it can pop loose any second. I am returning mine. You shouldn’t worry simple things like this after paying 400 bucks for a simple roof mounting system.

Doesn’t work for factory bars. I’m going to resell, also didn’t come with parts to connect to factory bar. Been a thule customer for a long time, extremely disappointed in this product. Never buying any roof type stuff from them again.
