I recently purchased the TP-Link TL-SG108PE and it has been an excellent addition to my network setup. This 8-port gigabit PoE switch is incredibly easy to use with its plug-and-play functionality. The build quality is impressive, with a sturdy metal design and shielded ports that ensure durability and reliability.
One of the standout features is the fanless design, which means it operates silently, making it perfect for home or office environments. The switch also supports QoS, VLAN, and IGMP, which have significantly improved my network performance and management.
I’ve had no issues so far, and it has been powering my UniFi PoE+ devices flawlessly. I highly recommend the TP-Link TL-SG108PE to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient PoE switch.

My tech support suggested that I order this for my new NVR to make the camera set up easier. Our cameras are from an older system and configuring them was quite challenging. Adding a switch made it a lot easier to add and move the cameras as the cord on the switch made it a lot easier to access than the back of the NVR. Easy to install and works great.

Some context: I’m a System Administrator and also a handyman. Currently renovating my basement and needed ethernet.
TL;DRL Got the job done, not using the smart switch capabilities as I have no need for it right now. Was able to utilize PoE for 2 access points and a camera, other ethernet ports were gigabit ready.

REVIEW MEDIC –
The switch is perfect. It does have lots of capabilities. If you are to use the graphical user interface and the applications that are associated with it. But I simply just run, ethernet cables and have the main one that’s connecting to my router. No unnecessary software needed to be downloaded. It was plug and play, very quiet, stays cool in temp, and I’ve noticed no significant deterioration in bandwidth input or output. Highly recommended, it’s coming at a great price, and it keeps everything more secure as you do not have to run Wi-Fi on your devices. 5/5 REVIEW MEDIC APPROVES!

I got this to experiment with VLANs and upgrade our home network to be more robust and secure. If you’re willing to tinker, this is definitely worth the money. It’s fast and has two features I needed, POE and VLAN support. I’ve been using it over a year, and have had no issues with it.
I use it to power a Unifi AP over POE, and the AP powered up immediately on plugging it in to one of the four POE ports. I just had to configure it in the Unifi management console and it worked. Later, I added additional wireless SSIDs with VLANs to separate networks by function. This required a bit of research to get the 802.1q settings right, because they don’t tell you much of anything about how to set it up. But once I figured out how to set it, it is actually very simple. I the attached image, port 3 has the Unifi AP and port 8 connects to a pfSense firewall. In my setup, you have to configure the VLANs in 3 places (pfSense, Unifi, and this switch) so it’s the VLAN IDs that make them work together. More work, less money, but it works fine.
I would recommend this if you want a GB switch with POE and don’t care about VLAN settings, since it is really simple to plug-and-play in that case. Also recommended if you want a managed switch and don’t mind having to configure the VLAN settings manually, and would rather save the money vs. buying a switch that is fully integrated with a management console like Unifi or Omada.

Had some issues with another fan cooled POE switch. The fan went bad within a year so I needed a replacement to handle my Lorex POE cameras while my defective switch went back for warranty replacement. So far this one works perfectly, no cameras going offline (due to loss of power), and its fanless to boot. Couldn’t be happier on this purchase, Gigabyte speeds, fanless, great value, couldn’t ask for more.

It does the job well, it has 4 ports with POE so you can power access points, cameras, or other devices that support this standard.
it also has a user interface where you can assign ports to different VLANs.
I have had this switch for about a year and never had to restart it, it is stable and does the job well so I highly recommend it.

Pretty solid switch worked good for a year and a half then would not work with PoE (guessing the power supply is failing, not the switch). Talked with support (Ronald) and they were able to help me out with an RMA. Solid and simple little switch.

I needed this to run a Ubiquiti Wireless Access point that didn’t have a nearby power source. The PoE delivers the right amount of current for the job. It’s a fast reliable switch.
