Had this for a few months now on a very small 3.5 gallon tank with lots of plants. I didn’t have high expectations given the price and some mixed reviews – but I recommend it. We have it on a 12 hour timer and it seems to function fine. I haven’t had to touch the settings in weeks. It turns on and off as expected and all my plants are growing very fast.

Was a little worried about brightness but it lights the tank up really well. Wouldn’t use on anything over 3 gals though. Perfect for low-med light plants. Very nice looking design and fits on back of tank really well. Using on a fluval spec 2.6gal and fits great.

I’ve purchased two of these lights for my betta tanks. They are the perfect size and a great value for smaller tanks. I wanted something with full spectrum for my aquatic plants, which now seem to be thriving. I love how this light offers a range of color settings, which is perfect for getting that natural sunlight look (versus the bright blue LED look that many lights have). Super easy setup, and I love the timer function that allows me to never have to worry about remembering to turn it off or on.

I recently purchased a light for my 2-gallon nano tank. As budget was a primary concern, I was searching for a relatively inexpensive light that would be functional. That’s when I stumbled upon a 4.8W plant light, which attracted my attention. However, I was unsure whether I should purchase it, considering the cost and mixed reviews. After much consideration, I decided to give it a shot.
The assembly process was very simple and basic. All I had to do was screw the bolt to the tank and plug it in. However, I was not impressed with the amount of light it gave at 100%. Also, setting up the light was a bit tricky as the buttons did not match the instructions. I had to fiddle around with it for a while before I could get it right. But, the real challenge was setting up the timer function. I found it difficult to get it working, and at times it didn’t work at all. This was frustrating because I had to do a manual on/off, which defeated the purpose of having a timer in the first place.
As someone who owns three other LED lights of similar function and one that is almost identical to this one, I can say with certainty that this light falls short in terms of quality, functions, and lighting. While the light performed adequately, it was not as good as the other lights I own. Therefore, I would caution those who are trying to save a dollar and buy a light of good quality, especially if you use the light to grow plants.

Will work for most people but not for me.
I liked the color configuration and was going to use it as a planted light in a saltwater refugium in a cabinet above an aquarium. The extra blie and red lights to help grow chaeto drew me to the light. The light is fairly bright but it heats up a lot with a plastic cover, I don’t see it lasting long term as it doesn’t dissipate heat at all. Product says 4.8 watts but actual light says 3 watts. Controller works well. While playing around with it figuring out how I want to mount it the plastic broke and now it is unusable. I guess I gave no choice but to return it and go with a real brand that makes good lights, not cheap plastic lights.
