These have been hit or miss. I’ve only ever bought one bag where the product was “just right.” That was the first bag i bought at my local vet office, the second bag i bought from the vet office had treats that were quite dried out. I figured maybe a bag from Amazon would be not so dried out since they move their products at a higher volume than a vet office. Unfortunately no, Amazon’s were dry too. The only way my cat eats these is if they are ground up into tiny bits, otherwise he attempts to eat once then walks away. Functionally, they so seem to calm his anxiety issues, he’s often a spaz and this seems to calm him down.

Chews are HUGE. I had to check bag 3 times because I was convinced they were for dogs. I have 3 cats. Out of the bag, only 1 would try to eat the treats. 1 played with them. 1 ignored it. I tried breaking them into smaller pieces. That resulted in 1 cat enjoying them, 1 eating partial, and 1 still ignoring the treat. Guess I have to go back to our old brand, even though this is a better dosage.

These lysine bites are large and hard…however, I have 7 cats, most older that sneeze all the time and have running eyes. I’ve spent hundreds at the vets office to clear them up for years…every year. I tried this stuff and It took a few days for it to work but the fact is IT DID WORK.
So, what I do is grind them into powder with a coffee bean grinder and mix about a half teaspoon in with a wet food that they really like. You can also break them into smaller pieces if your cats like the taste.
My cats have cleared up. This lysine has two ingredients and I think the mixture is the key. I only wish I could find the same Vetriscience would make it in a powder form.

I have purchased these in the past, and they were soft and immensely enjoyed by our older kitty. This last order was actually hard as rocks (no exaggeration!), and our kitty immediately turned up his nose. Our vet has also stopped carrying them, as well. I will never purchase from this line of products again. Unfortunately, I wasted $30, as pet food can’t be returned at Amazon. Better to order from Chewy.com, since they do take care of their customers when there is a product quality issue.
