    While the ice cream maker looks good there is one problem. It does not freeze. I contacted the Vevor customer service call center and was told that I would be contacted within 24 hours by their customer service with an option for repair within 1-3 business days. My guess is in 5 calendar days, they will tell me to send it in for repair or replacement. I really wanted this to work, but it just doesn’t.

    I made about 4 batches of ice cream with this before returning it to Amazon. For all 4 batches the paddle stopped turning before the ice cream began to solidify.

    I was able to complete the ice cream process by manually stirring with a wooden spoon for about 15 – 20 minutes after switching the unit from the ice cream cycle to the cooling cycle. Switching to different recipes didn’t help.

    The problem seemed to get worse the more batches of ice cream I made with the final one taking almost 25 minutes of manual stirring to get the ice cream. The unit developed an audible click as well by this time.

    I’ve used other freezer-type ice cream makers so I know how the process is supposed to go – and this wasn’t it.

    This is one of the cheaper machines for the amount of ice cream it produces. However it looks very nice (stainless steel casing). Making 2 quarts of ice cream takes about 45 minutes. It’s not too loud, also I hear no knocking sounds during ice making as mentioned elsewhere. With the built-in compressor, making ice cream is a simple as filling the ingredients in it and press the button and walk away. Machine let you know when it’s ready. Also makes good sorbet (water-based) e.g. lemon ice cream. Recommended. Very minor point, the upper axle of the ice cream rotating spatula is anchored in plastic, a bit doubtful how long this will last.

    Makes delicious ice cream, quickly, and with little fuss on my part. Still do not understand its full capabilities or how to make yogurt. And the recipe book is simply two pages of basic recipes at the very back of the operations manual. Very disappointing. The operating instructions/manual is incomplete, poorly written.

    Love this ice cream maker. I’ve used it so many times since I’ve purchased it to make all sorts of delicious ice cream. The built-in compressor makes making ice cream a breeze. So much easier than the old-fashioned ice cream makers that use ice and salt. My only complaint is that the little ingredient Flap on the lid had a short tab on one side of the hinge which allows the lid to fall into the ice cream maker while it’s running. Not sure if I can get a new lid, but in the meantime, I have just taped it shut so it doesn’t fall in. Other than the flap issue is ice cream maker gets a thumbs up.

    This is a complete failure. It stops churning every few minutes once the mixture is semi frozen. you have to get it churning manually and it will go for another few minutes before stopping again. The noise from the motor and compressor is also much louder than expected. Dont bother with the manufacturer’s customer support. They have zero technical knowledge of their products. I would give this brand a miss. Waste of my time.

    I just love this machine. So far, I have made Sorbet and Ice Cream and both came out wonderful. There is a 60 minute processing time for soft serve ice cream. Freezing makes it firm and perfect for the ice cream scooper. Worth the investment. Made totally lactose-free ice cream recently. Creamy & delicious! Go for it!

    On paper it’s fantastic, but only on paper. Well one of the things you cannot see on the photo is a VERY LARGE AND UGLY white Vervor logo with link to the suppot page printed on otherwise nice and high quality exterior. Why destroy the otherwise good design?
    As a performance goes- it’s ok but somewhat dissapointing. The good thing it’s very quiet and sound profile is pleasant and not annoying. The paddles spin very fast so ice cream is airy- too airy in my oppinion because 1L gelato mixture doubled and was beginning to overflow. I would have expected a bit more from 180W freezing device. Low fat and milky (normally freezes fast) gelato was still very runny ready after 60 minutes. I paused to check for a moment and the motor was no longer able to start despite pretty liquid mixture barely a -0.7 C measured with a thermometer. Freeze bowl has -6 for same mixture and quantity after 25 mins.
    If you absolutely need a compressor machine and do not have money for real stuff- go for it, I think internally it’s exactly identical to unolds and graefs, and springlanes with just a different branding and very big price difference. You can cover the logo with some sticker if you like. However I feel that it is true that you should first feel absolutely limited by freezer bowl ice cream maker and once you are- save to upgrade to something like Musso or Nemox.

    This ice cream maker is amazing! I make homemade icecream all the time for my family. I make sugar free icecream for me, and oh boy, does it churn and come out creamy!! I previously had an icecream maker where you have to freeze the bucket for 24 hours and I didn’t like that one. With this one, you can churn one flavor and put it in an icecream container, the ones I used I purchased here on Amazon, and then you can immediately pour your next icecream mixture flavor in and churn again. No waiting to refreeze the bucket. I have definitely paid for my icecream maker by not buying the expensive icecream from the store. Also, knowing exactly what you put into your icecream is important. No additives or preservatives – just what you decide to put in. I recommend buying this ice cream maker. It will not disappoint! Find recipes online or use your favorite family recipes and churn away!

    You’ll need to read and reread the operating instructions. (Maybe write down the steps so you don’t forget like I did and had to figure it out all over again.) Appears it was translated from another language for the European market. Once you figure out how to set time and hardness level then it’s a go.
    Stick to any recipe with a total of 3-4 cups of liquid. More than that and the mixture will expand over the metal bowl necessitating extra clean up.
    Check ice cream at the 20 minutes mark. One batch I made with pureed strawberry froze up quickly and the machine stopped working. Too thick to move.
    Cleans beautifully and is fairly quiet as demonstrated in the video. Well made and worth the purchase price!

    Ho acquistato questa gelatiera per le sue caratteristiche tecniche descritte nel profilo e cioè per la potenza del compressore e per la possibilità di poter scegliere la velocità di rotazione della pala e di conseguenza la durezza del gelato. Ci dovrebbero essere tre possibilità di fare il gelato e cioè soft normale o duro, ma la pala ha sempre la stessa velocità di rotazione ed il risultato è identico nelle tre modalità. Inoltre non raffredda a sufficienza il composto, infatti a fine lavorazione ho tolto il gelato dal contenitore con fatica perché ancora troppo morbido e lucido (il gelato si definisce pronto quando la sua struttura è opaca) e sul fondo della vasca il composto si presentava già liquido. Premetto che il gelato lo preparo seguendo la bilanciatura degli ingredienti. Ho fatto il reso.

    Die Eismaschine hat meine Erwartungen erfüllt und macht (mit dem entsprechenden Rezept) ein Eis wie aus der Eisdiele. Die Eismaschine ist gut verarbeitet und macht einen robusten Eindruck. Auffällig ist die Ähnlichkeit mit der Eismaschine von Graef (IM700) – ich konnte beim Vergleich nich viele Unterschiede feststellen 😉 Die Bedienungsanleitung ist übersichtlich, aber in Englisch.

    Folgendes sollte aber jeder beachten, der sich eine Kompressor – Eismaschine zulegen will:
    1. Das Teil ist schwer und verhältnismäßig groß. Man sollte dafür den entsprechenden Platz in der Küche einplanen.
    2. Wie bei allen Haushalts – Eismaschinen hat das produzierte Eis eine relativ weiche Konsistenz (ähnlich wie Softeis) und sollte noch für 2 bis 3 Stunden in die Tiefkühlung – danach ist es wie in der Eisdiele.

    Die Joghurt Funktion habe ich noch nicht getestet – nett zu wissen, dass es so etwas bei dem Gerät gibt. Von Preis-/Leistungsverhältns wird man nach meiner Einschätzung nichts besseres finden. Ich würde das Gerät sofort wieder kaufen.
