Vitamix Immersion Blender 3 Piece Set

I had a Breville stick blender for about 6 years and it finally gave up the ghost. The attachments eventually didn’t sit properly. The whisk attachment would wobble. The Vitamix one is really sturdy and is really great quality. It blends and whips better and faster too. I highly recommend!

I love this immersion blender. It does a great job of blending and mixing and while I don’t have as much of a need for the mixer attachment, the couple of times I’ve used it it’s been great. The design of this blender makes it really easy to clean and the attachments feel sturdy and well made. It has plenty of power, is easy to adjust, and the included storage case is a areally nice addition. Overall, I think this is about as good of an immersion blender as you can find.

I thought I would shred red cabbage with this machine but it turned the red cabbage into puree. Like completely pulverized it. But it’s all good bc red cabbage puree is delicious and so much more versatile, and it all happened by accident bc of this machine so I’m very grateful. I put the cabbage puree on sandwiches and on top of baked potatoes and I put the puree in chickin salad and it’s so wonderful bc not only is it delicious but it also turns everything beautifully purple. Everyone is so amazed and loves the puree red cabbage. Bc they ask, I explain i just use my handheld blender and they can’t believe the machine can puree red cabbage. But it does and it does it very quicky. This is probably why it’s more expensive than many other handheld blenders. Other things I like: It is easy to clean, doesn’t take much room, and I use to accessory to make my own organic whip cream. It’s a great asset to my kitchen and the little suitcase it comes in makes storage easy. Surprisingly happy with this purchase.

Had a low end immersion blender which made using it hopelessly difficult. The first time I used the Vitamix made life in the kitchen so much smoother. This blender is so powerful, and 4 cutting edges as opposed to 2 much smaller blades on my old blender. It performs smoothly, even on the lowest settings, it has more than enough power to plow through whatever you have in the pot.

I’ve had a Vitamix blender for over 15 years so I know the quality. I finally decided to get this immersion blender because I’m into making blended soups and this seemed useful for that purpose. (It’s great!). I read about all the brands, many of which were half the price, but decided on Vitamix because I know and love their products, their high quality, and their longer warranty period. I also got a really great deal on a kit which included the beater attachment and the case, both of which were a ridiculous price when added on separately. Amazon’s price was less for the package deal than the blender itself when sold separately anywhere else including Amazon. What is really interesting, is literally a few days after my purchase, the package price popped up to a price nearly $50 more than I just paid. I’ve seen that happen before with other items, too. I can’t explain it. Maybe my low price was some kind of error?
How does the blender work? Fabulous. Some have said it’s heavy. I consider it substantial but not really that heavy. It works great and is easy to use. I always use it on the slowest setting. For the soups I make, I don’t want them pulverized into a totally creamy texture so I operate it by pulsing on and off. That way I control the texture and don’t overdo it. It goes together easily, just a quick twist. Cleaning it is very easy….get a deep container with a few inches of water with some dish soap in it, and turn the blender on for a few seconds. Clean as a whistle. Just rinse the soap off, dry it and you’re done. Final note: I have a couple of soup recipes that add some cheese at the end. Most recipes say add the cheese and whatever final items go into the soup, then blend it to your desired consistency. I modify that to blending the soup BEFORE adding cheese and add it after the blending process, stirring and with a bit of added heat to help melt it. By doing things this way, cheese doesn’t get on the blender blades. I found that when cheese gets on the blades, it take some time and more effort to get the cheese off.
Final observation: Many blenders I looked at were metal at the bottom. The Vitamix bottom is covered with something like a silicone or perhaps rubber or plastic coating, which protects your pan bottom. This was important to me since I use this mostly with an Enamel coated cast iron pan and I wanted to avoid scratching. Highly recommended and this blender will last forever.

This is the best stick blender I’ve ever used. I didn’t want to spend that much but my husband convinced me. I was making large batches of homemade pasta sauce to bottle. After baking all the ingredients to a nice color I removed the pan and used this blender to puree it to the perfect consistency and wanted the seeds to blended. WOW this did the job in just seconds and the sauce is perfect! My last hand blender would never do that even with extra time. I hope I’ll never need another one and I will recommend this to anyone in the market for a powerful kitchen tool!
