I’ve backpacked in the Sierras for more than a couple decades. I own more backpacking tents than I care to admit…looking for the perfect tent…but there isn’t one because there are always tradeoffs…usually weight/price related. Like many backpackers, reducing the weight one carries is important. This is a very good tent for what it is. Yet I feel compelled to point out this tent has it’s limitations. It’s walls are water resistant, not water proof. If you have any expectation you’ll encounter more than a very brief shower you should spray the whole thing with a “Scotchguard” waterproofing type product (several coats). Also true old school “rain flys” would cover the whole tent, not just the ceiling vent. Tents do not provide “warmth” (or even insulation) since their wall materials are essentially almost “paper thin” to save weight. Depending on their construction they can provide shelter from wind, precipitation, bugs and small critters….plus they provide privacy. Now to this tent’s design, it’s “rain fly” DOES prevent rain from entering the tent’s ceiling vent but even more importantly it ALSO lets moisture (water vapor) from your respiration(breathing) to escape instead of condensing on the inside of the tent’s walls overnight….without the vent the inside of your tent and everything in it could(would?) be coated in moisture/condensation the next morning. In my experience it’s good to leave the tent’s fabric door (not screen door) open a bit to help the air flow through the ceiling vent keeping the inside moisture/humidity lower. Remember the tent doesn’t keep you warm, that’s what your clothes and sleeping bag are supposed to do….different subject for a different time. It’s also not a 4 season tent, depending on where you live it’s best as a late spring to early fall tent. I rate this tent 5 stars because it’s well done for what it is and for it’s low price.

I liked how sturdy the tent was overall, but I disliked how the tent was not able to contain heat, and how the tent would become wet from the surrounding moisture during cold weather. (It becomes very uncomfortable.)

I bought the Wakeman 2 Person Camping Tent in the color blue, sized 77″L x 57″W x 40″H. Product arrived as described. Product was easy to assemble by myself. The material quality is passable for backyard use but poor for hiking, camping, or beach use due to the tarp material for the bottom of the tent and connection points looking weak and will likely break after some stress/rough handling.
I set the tent up in my backyard and let it sit through a passing rain shower. Even though i forgot to install the rain fly top, the tent was able to resist the rain effectively. No water entered the tent. The zipper quality is good but the mesh itself is only passable. For the amount i paid ($20), and for my purposes (backyard camp for two children), this product was worth the purchase.

It was a lot lighter and thin than I thought. I rolled it out set up was very easy and quick took me about 3 to 5 min. It is perfect for 2 people using sleeping bags would have more space but I bought a blow up mattress so it was snug by the dimensions info I looked it up to make sure the mattress would fit. As you can see the mattress is right at the front of it and it was the same at the back. There is only about 8 ” left on the side of the mattress to the tent side. I had to store my other items outside the tent because I used a mattress. It is very short I think it was about 4′ to the top.
The front screen material was great and zipped up well.
It is a crawl in until you get to the center area then you can pop up again my mattress took up more height . My camping chair was way heavier than this tent. If you want quick and easy a very light weight. Taking it down was quick too. I recommend this one for the price you can go wrong. Again this is light weight I would not use it for any heavy winds when you open it. You might think it was looks like a tarp rather than tent.
If anything I wish there was a window for it and the stakes were a little heavier weight. If it would have been windy having extra stakes or heavier to hold it down would be a bonus. There was no wind or rain for my trip so I can not comment on leaking.

The 2-Person Camping Tent with Rain Fly and Carrying Bag is a great option for any outdoor adventure! We took it on a weekend camping trip, and it exceeded our expectations. The setup was super easy, even for two people, and it took only a few minutes to have it fully assembled. The tent is lightweight, making it easy to carry in the included bag, and it fits neatly in the trunk of the car without taking up too much space.
The rain fly is a lifesaver! It kept us dry during a surprise rainstorm, and the waterproofing held up really well without any leaks. Despite its compact size, there’s enough room inside for two people to sleep comfortably with space for backpacks or gear at our feet. The ventilation is also great, with mesh windows that allow air to flow while keeping bugs out.
I was also impressed by how sturdy the tent felt, even in windy conditions. The stakes and poles are durable and held everything in place. For the price, this tent offers excellent value, and I would highly recommend it for casual camping trips or outdoor festivals.

This tent is VERY small. It will fit one twin size air mattress, but the head and feet of the mattress will touch the top and zipper, so, not ideal in rain. My son is just above 6″ tall and his feet touch the zipper. Two people CAN fit if they really like each other. All that said, it does it’s job. It was very easy to put up and take down. It took less than 10 minutes by myself. It was inexpensive. The zippers work. It is very light, and I was able to fit it back into the bag. I probably wouldn’t do a long camping trip in this one, but I do not regret purchasing it.

We bought this as a storage tent. I’m not sure how well someone would sleep in it. Seems a little short but I am also tall so that makes a difference.
Two zipper sections make it great to keep bugs out. Love the T zipper for the mesh cover to keep bugs out, and the option to go into one side instead of opening the entire thing.
Very easy to set up and tear down. Kept out the dew and dry inside the next morning. We didn’t have any rain so I can’t say how well it would work in the rain. For what we used it for, and the price it was great.
