C. J. Murphy –
I bought this product because it was listed as being low in phosphorus and moderate in protein, so I wanted to see if my cat with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) would eat it. She is allergic to chicken so it has been a real challenge to find low phosphorus and low to moderate protein food and especially food that she likes and will eat, so I tried it and she likes it. The main cons with this is the cost for the amount of food that you’re getting. It is only 44 calories/pouch, so I often add another food to it, which helps her eat something besides fish, such as turkey, duck, or beef. I took away one star because of that. Also, all the chunks of fish are at the top of the pouch and under that is a sort of thick gravy-like substance, so realize, it’s not chunks of fish throughout the pouch. I realized this when I was only mixing a half portion with other food at first and noticed she wasn’t as enthusiastic about the bottom half of the pouch.

This.product has the perfect blend of textures and flavors along with a tasty Gravy. She loves it. I bought the chicken and the tuna/salmon flavors and they are both eagerly eaten by my kitten. It is in a pouch you open by tearing off the top corner so use it all at once.

Used as cat food, what it is for. The price seems to be different each time. Bout my cat is 17 yrs of age, so she gets what she likes and what helps her to keep living. Thank you

Unfortunately my kitties do not like this brand. I think it is the consistency which is rubbery.

I’ve had this particular cat since she was only a few weeks old. Back then, she’d eat anything. But sadly, that meant literally anything and she has PICA, making her try to eat many non-food items that would kill her. At age 2 she had to undergo emergency surgery because she ate a handful of hair elastics like spaghetti and would have died if not for the expensive reconstruction of her digestive tract. Ever since then, she’s been far more particular about what food she eats. I’ve tried sticking to only foods that meet some basic quality requirements and aren’t primarily filler, which combined with occasionally needing prescription diuretic foods for her bladder stones, has really been running up her food costs. It was a struggle to get her to eat the Hill’s Prescription Diet food that she hated enough that she started urinating in my bed very frequently. She was fine peeing blood and having the stones, but taking away her cheap cheat foods like a can of Friskies was just crossing the line to her. She turned against all pate type foods, and then her long-time favorite of the Friskies Gravy type food became unavailable to purchase, setting me out on a quest to find a replacement food that she actually likes.
After a few duds, I found these tiny portions. For once, she’d eat the whole amount and gets excited to get more. The ingredients list show that this is at least a moderate-high end basic pate, with the first few ingredients being real, great sources of protein like tuna and fish broth. As long at the ingredient list is truthful (cat food is a sketchy business with lots of lies) then I can see this becoming her new staple with plenty of flavors to rotate between.
Overall she’s been much happier since switching to this food (and a combination of infinite dry food left out since she’s a solo cat who doesn’t overeat) and the combination of the two ends up not being too expensive as she’s good with 2-3 of these pouches a day and dry food when she’s rarely hungry enough to want it.
The pouch design is great as well, tearing easily at the top, and the entire pate slab sliding out entirely which doesn’t leave behind a stinky residue in the trash.
As per feeding instruction, each box is only 3 days worth of food for an average day. So that $11 price tag is deceptive as if fed as directed, comes out to $110+ a month compared to the $35 that the cheap crappy Friskies type brands that should not be the core of any cat’s diet if you care about their health. Mixing with dry food if your feline actually likes it helps keep the costs down while still meeting nutrient requirements. Other similar premium brands break $100/mo easily as well, so these many tiny pouches aren’t notably expensive and are a decent deal for the market.

My 13 year old cat lost almost 20% of her body weight when I moved 2 years ago. She refused to eat almost every brand of cat food and I spent $100’s of dollars until I ordered Wellness Core’s TinyTasters – Duck. I have tried other flavors and she will eat the Chicken and Beef flavor; however, nothing compares to the duck.
It comes in convenient pouches that many brands offer now. It is easy to mix in medicine and other supplements. Wellness Core has made a lifetime customer out of me. I fully recommend giving this brand/product a try if you’ve been having difficulties with your cat’s appetite.
Vickie –
I depend on my cats to eat. I order from Prime it’s hard to find in pet stores, this is the kitten food. So my cats are picky and at bull crap. I’m really getting sick of all platforms taking advantage of people and not accepting they F up and do something to make it right.
The product is great. The stars are for product. Prime would get 1 star.
