Amazon Customer –
Nice and quiet, shuts off after a few minutes if not in use. Handles 10 to 12 pages pretty easy but any more than that is pushing its limits. Shreds to center of basket so it frequently will say full bin, all you have to do is push it down to compact the shredding. Bin holds a lot, is easy to remove and clean. Great shredder for the price!

Received a defective shredder. Red light indicates it’s loaded when only 1 piece of paper is placed into the shredder. I’m surprised the shredder wasn’t tested before it was shipped.

This is the best shredder I have ever used. It is quiet; easy to operate…came assembled (did not have to install wheels) The 7.5 gallon bin is perfect size; when the bin is full; the shredder stops operating (outstanding feature; no overload). I definitely would recommend to others; well worth the money

I took a chance on this shredder knowing that Woolsche isn’t a name brand. (I suppose they could be a contract manufacturer for another brand…). I’ve now run about 100 pounds of paper through it without a problem.
It has plenty of power for a small office/home office environment. You can feed it unopened envelopes full of junk mail without bogging it down. Despite cleaning out and shredding file drawers full of old company documents, I never got the machine into a thermal overload mode. This was a problem with my former shredder. I was constantly pausing to let it cool down.
When I purchased the Woolsche model I did not realize the importance of its huge, trash can-sized output container. A shredder’s output container size is significant because shredded paper fragments form a tall mountain of paper shards when they tumble from the shredding blades into the basket. (The shards don’t “flat fill” the basket like water would.)
This tall mountain of paper shards sets off the machine’s “output container is full” sensor long before the container is truly full. This would be true of any brand or type of paper shredder, not just this one. It’s a result of the shape of the clingy paper shards and their electrostatic attraction to each other.
You can’t ignore the “output container is full” sensor. It shuts off the motor until you fix the problem.
So to avoid pausing your shredding every 60 seconds to empty the container or flatten the mountain of shards, you need a large container–which this paper shredder has. Said differently, you need a much bigger output container than you think you do or else you’ll constantly be opening the output bin.
The only feature this machine lacks is an extra cost accessory that allows you to mount it atop a 55 gallon Rubbermaid roll-around trash can. That would truly fix the “mountain of shards/container is full” problem.

Replaced an old Amazon brand shredder that lasted 4 years with this Woolsche brand. Absolutely the quietest shredder I’ve ever owned so from the initial shredding I was impressed. It’s not the fastest shredded but I’ll trade speed for the volume anyday. Ripped right through a 100 pages without any effort and the extra bin capacity is nice. Have to have the slide out feature as it creates less mess when it needs to be emptied. Happy so far

I had my large shredder for years finally died on me very difficult to find a replacement without spending like $400. I believe my old one cost me like 60 dollars. I wanted a nice tall one that I didn’t have to empty all the time this fit the bill and it is definitely very quiet. It doesn’t seem as strongly built as my other one, naturally, but you know this is our day and age everything is made of breakable easy plastic. I tried a couple and returned them, was not happy. I did get this one not feeling completely comfortable and yes, it’s definitely not as well-built as something might’ve been made six years ago even. Like I said, they don’t want you to keep anything that’s for sure but this is very quiet. It works well. It has nice wheels like I said not as dirty and built but working well if I had any complaint which I think is probably a safety issue I’m not sure, but it seems like I have to turn it on if I’m not using it constantly I’ve got it shut off and then I gotta turn it back on which the button is in the back. And the button is on the back to shut it off and I interesting. But I’m getting comfortable with it it seems to be working and it definitely is very very quiet. I don’t. You can hardly even hear anything running through it so we’ll see it’s been a few months now and I still using it.

I’ve only had it for a short time, but it is VERY quiet and the pieces are much smaller than my previous shredder! I also like that the bin is larger than what I had before and it looks like it will be easier to remove and empty. Time will tell, but so far I’m pleased!

I purchased due to a video review of this thing eating cardboard. Yes, it works, but jams on double-walled cardboard. It will do your basic amazon box, shoe box, and cereal boxes, but nothing thicker than that. I filled the bucket up six times with all the unecessary paperwork we kept to burn and it’s still running great! Staples no problem. Thick solicitation mail no problem. Daily mail gone. Lots of applications for the cardboard shreds too, such as garden mulch, fire starters, and confetti. Would buy again if anything happens to this one.

works good. its real quiet, just wished it was a little faster when it shreds
