I have a lot of tall trees so reach is important. This pole saw is on the heavier side but manageable. It has great reach and the saw also works so well without the pole that I didn’t even start up my gas powered chain saw to cut up the branches on the ground. I just removed the pole and used the saw to finish the job.

Very good tool, sturdy, easy to use. Well priced, saved money buying on Amazon. I am using this pole saw to trim my trees and bushes. The 10’ pole allows me to reach high branches without climbing in the tree or using a ladder.

I own two other chain saws, one is a 12 inch and other is a 14 inch – both gas powered and they work well for larger jobs. Maintenance with any gas lawn equipment is annoying and you have to vigilant with draining the fuel after use if you use the saws infrequently otherwise the carbs will gum up. I also own the Black and Decker “lopper”. More on that in a bit.

I got this little 10 inch Worx saw for quick jobs specifically for the saw. The “extension pole” was a free add on as part of a holiday sale/deal.

I had an 18 foot fir tree come down on Christmas day, 2020 after a day of constant rain followed by a heavy wet snow. The trunk at the base was about 10 inches and this little saw was the idea size. The downed tree had a genetically bowed trunk and the soaking wet soil, heavy snow, wind and gravity won that battle and the tree toppled. Using this Worx saw, I had the tree cut up and cleaned up in less than 45 minutes. I also used it on the extension handle to clean up some other branches that needed trimming. Simply stated, the saw is nice, the handle is an issue. Here’s my pro/con:

    Pro:
-Light weight when hand held. On the extension pole, NOT lightweight – see “con” section
-Quick and easy to to use. No oil/gas mx, no draining the fuel tank after use.
-It does use chain oil so be prepared to have that on hand because this chainsaw (like many chainsaws) does NOT come with chain oil. There is a 1 star review blathering on about not having chain oil in the package as the sole reason for the 1 star rating which seems really extreme to me.
-QUIET. If you’ve ever used a real gas chainsaw, they blare sound between 105db – 115db and hearing protection is a must.
-I liked the simple chain tensioner that you can turn by hand. My gas powered saws require a wrench and screwdriver for blade tension adjustment. I did not have any tension issues and I’m used to checking my gas saw blade tension regularly during use and the Worx system is MUCH faster.
-Comes with a small chain guard. Don’t kid yourself, this saw is NOT a toy, the blade is razor sharp and you need to be careful with use and follow standard chainsaw safety protocols. If you don’t know them, Google them before use.
-Inexpensive. Compared to many chainsaws, this unit is a steal.

    Con:
    -No chain oil included (haha).
-The power cord connector might not fit all extension cords. My cord JUST fit inside the collar on the plug. If it didn’t, I would have simply cut off the collar.
    – might be tough for some smaller folks to handle fully extended. Im an old beast weightlifter (230 pounds, 6’1”) and it’s a workout for me.

Overall, this saw by itself is a nice little niche tool. I also own the Black and Decker “lopper” electric chainsaw which is far safer than this saw but it’s limited in what it can cut. If you need “safe” and are only need to trim branches the size of your wrist or smaller, buy the lopper.

I attached two photos. One is the tree that toppled on Christmas day and the other is the 2 large lawn waste bags filled with the branches and cut up trunk that I accomplished with this Worx saw. It’s a versatile little saw that has a lot capabilities but BE CAREFUL! Hope that helps.

Works great. Power to cut hardwood. Light weight to handle. Weight is good for cutting without pushing on high branches. I like better than gas for convenience and better than battery for long duration cutting. I have small battery for pruning and 20” gas for the big jobs. This completes my set perfectly.

Nice design and works great for trimming light to medium branches. It is a bit tip-heavy as you might expect but it also seems well-made and it easy to use.

For the price its a decent saw, but It doesn’t really work on thinner branches. Trying to cut those only has the blade falling off the bar, but the thicker branches it works fine on. It’s definitely top heavy, and a struggle to use if its on too much of an angle, but with some patience and determination you can get the job done. Its great if you only have to use it on occasion, b/c its not a professional tool, it’s good for homeowners trying to get things done themselves. Its way better than Harbor Freight pole saws, but not nearly as good as a Stihl electric pole saw, but those are $300 and up. I give this tool five stars b/c its worth what I paid for it.

Have just recently started using this. 2 day shipping from Amazon was a joke. Multiple phone calls and 10 days later it finally showed. It’s heavy fully extended and I’m a pretty big guy but works very well. Will see how it holds up but I have high hopes.

Oh my God! The polesaw was wonderful! Didn’t take long to trim my trees. It was my husband and I 1st time using one & it was not hard at all. The higher you cut the heavier the saw, he controlled the pole & I controlled the on & off switch. Team work made the dream work. It also saved us a lot of money, DIY 👍

Got this ten inch saw with extender on sale for around $65, and it was too good to pass up. Putting this together was incredibly easy, just be aware going in you will need to purchase oil for chainsaws. I already had some, and after putting that on, and plugging this up, I was ready to go to work.

I ran this little saw for about and hour and a half straight, as I had multiple tree’s with low hanging branches. The tree by my shed had so many branches low hanging I couldn’t walk under it, that’s how thick it was! But after use we can easily walk under it, put a bench, or park a trailer under it easy. The branches left under that one picture with the shed on the side was only a portion of the branches cut. The rest of it was already picked up and stashed on a trailer.

This has definitely been worth it, but I will say the vibration of it running did make the attachment area attaching the saw to the extender get loose. Watch that as it could definitely be a hazard if it came off from vibrations. Mine never came off, but I did notice it loose when checking it, and will be more vigilant the next time I use it.

Otherwise I’ve had no issues using this. Just note it is heavy when using the extender.
