El “Magic Keyboard” tiene, o tenía, un defecto de fábrica que provoca que la conexiones internas se corrompan. Tuve dos y, aunque muy bonitos y ligeros, al poco tiempo dejaban de funcionar.
Este trabaja muy bien, se siente sólido, protege a la iPad como si fuera a la guerra, y es económico.
Es más pesado y menos lujoso, pero lo quería para teclear, no para presumir.

I’ve had Zagg iPad cases for years. Recently my current one’s hinge broke on one side (travel abuse, not defective) and this is the closest to the model I had. So close, indeed that my old keyboard fit this one perfectly! The old one had a tacky, non-slip rubber coating where this is more rigid, hard plastic. Now that I have it, I think I like this better for handling the day – to – day travel wear & tear. Since I’m still using my old keyboard, it has the rubber coating so I get the best of both worlds and have a brand new keyboard on deck should the old one go belly up or get lost. The iPad / screen kickstand on this unit is rubber coated, which I really like as it holds the iPad in place nicely when doing the touch screen thing while it’s standing.
Big fan of Zagg products. The batteries in the keyboard units last forever on a charge, the keys are light but still “Feely” and the entire assembly doesn’t add a tremendous amount of weight to the iPad package. The fact that the keyboard snaps into place by magnets and is fully removable too make this the perfect solution for my needs. As long as they keep making this good of stuff, I’ll keep coming back to Zagg!

The best decision I’ve ever made for my iPad Pro 9.7” 1st Gen. Extremely good quality product & very sturdy too. Keyboard feel is really good, well spaced & comes with backlight. Very user friendly, and super easy to connect using Bluetooth. Good battery life & gives the iPad an excellent look! Only con is that once in a while there’s a slight 1 second lag when you type. However it still is the best keyboard case available out there for the older generation iPad Pro 9.7”

After a while the rubber gets brittle and keeps coming off in pieces. The pencil holder was the first to go. Second was the flap for the magnetic attachment to the base. Then pieces keep coming off around the openings. I love the design, simplicity, ruggedness of the product. But the material must really be improved to make it more durable.

Excellent Ipad Pro keyboard case if your OK with the heft. It’s heavy of course, but therefore should give great protection. I like it for it just enhances the quality feel. Keyboard itself has nice tactile response as do the rubber nubs for the volume and power controls. Detachable magnetic screen can be viewed at various angles and functions well, solid. Kickstand is effective but takes a little effort to put into place….probably a good thing. The soft rubbery (silicone?) exterior surface of the case feels nice and I recommend it, but it’s a magnet for pet hair and the like. What can you do.
Initial Bluetooth pairing was a little tricky for me but eventually no problem. Cut-outs for the Ipad Pro’s 4 speakers curve forward a bit so as to “point” the sound towards the listener….. I’m not sure of this part of the design since it MAY take away from the surround sound ambiance but it’s not a problem since I usually listen through the 3.5mm jack. Don’t let this stop you. I usually don’t toot a company’s horn but this product is a BUY. I paid full Amazon price.
ZAGG support is awesome. This alone gives me comfort knowing they stand by their product.

I bought this Zagg Rugged Book Pro in May 2024. It worked great until it didn’t! It is still under warranty with the Zagg company, but I cannot get help with replacing it. I cannot register the product as it is not in the selection list. If it cannot be registered, then it cannot be replaced. I was on hold with the company for a long time. Still not resolved.

This case keyboard has pros and cons. Pros – nice case, rugged as advertised, keyboard is easy to use and comfortable to type with. I like the ability to connect and disconnect my iPad from the keypad and use it standalone – the magnets are very strong and seem durable. The stand for the iPad is fantastic – I really like the ability to set the angle whether the keypad is attached or not. The cons – it’s heavy. Really heavy – holding it can be a hassle after a bit. And – the Bluetooth connectivity is so so. It periodically won’t connect even though it says it is connected and you have to go into Bluetooth – Forget Device and re-initialize the pairing. Bit of a hassle to be honest. Otherwise I recommend this keyboard far and away over anything Logitech or Belkin sells. I have gone through 5 cases and keypads with my iPad Air 2 and I believe this is by far the best one of the lot. The Logitech keypads are pathetic – they break within 2 weeks of use. Belkin – same issue – they tend to fall apart rather quickly. So if you are in the market for a keypad in the $100 range – this is the one for you.

I was skeptical about getting this case after reading the poor reviews of other Zagg case models with their poor build quality. Ive been using this for almost a year and only good things to say about it. The magnetic hinge works great and is my favorite feature. It comes apart easily and snaps back in place when I’m done with tablet mode. The infinitely adjustable kickstand is super useful and so far has proven durable despite heavy daily use. The modest loop on the back accommodates my Apple Pencil pretty well. It holds it securely and my pencil hasn’t fallen out yet. The keyboard works well for its size and there is no real noticeable Bluetooth lag. You do have to wait a sec before you can type while the wireless connection is made after opening the case. Def not as instantaneous as the Apple keyboard. I can type at a decent clip with the smaller layout and the keys feel pretty solid. As a bonus the pencil can rest conveniently on the magnets right above the number keys at the top of the keyboard as you type. Keys are well laid out and the compromises are well thought out. Battery life is spectacular. I haven’t had to charge it in months and could probable go easily for a year or more.
The only downside is the added weight and bulk. But I’d gladly trade that for the convenience, features, and protection that this case offers.

The cover providew great protection for my ipad. It also has an Apple pencil holder, which is quite handy. The stand is very sturdy and it can help to adjust viewing angle of my ipad. The keyboard connects seamlessly to my iPad and there has been no drop in the middle of the connection.

My wife uses her iPad most all day long, as much on her lap as she does at a desk. She has used multiple design types until she got this Zagg, only one was satisfactory (now discontinued) . We ordered three cover and keypad combinations and and this one was the clear winner. The good: the screen stays put at every angle, the keyboard is good quality, the keyboard stays attached but is easily removed so you can use the screen only, and the hard shell locks securely and fully protects the iPad. The bad: nothing! And to top it off, it is an attractively designed unit, some we tried were ugly and cheap looking. You won’t be disappointed!
