I’m trying to lean away from building forearms doing weighted movements; trying to maintain wrist health.
Doing static gripping of thicker bars or ropes wasn’t really getting it either. I wasn’t expecting much from these relics of the 90s (or 80s?) but I’ve been exceedingly surprised. I even found that the two stiffer grips, which initially I thought I was going to throw away because they’re so stiff, are starting to be in my range for getting reps.
These have made a noticeable difference in my grip strength and a little difference in noticeable forearm development. The way I approach doing sets is the more difficult the grip, the slower I go and the longer I pause in the middle. I do about five sets per hand per day. Works well for me; especially for Brazilian jiujitsu.
The quality of these is also impressive. We’re not talking about those plastic grips that used to be cool.

They were lighter than I was expecting, they come with plenty of levels for beginners and well gripped individuals, they’re sturdy and the foam padding is a nice touch allowing you to choose your comfort level. The design of the grip is well thought out allowing it to bite into your hand or the foam padding so it doesn’t slip.

they’re not captains of crush and they will break after a few years of frequent daily use (i keep mine in my truck while driving), but by then you’ll have moved on to the next level in the set anyhow. they’re great.

I got the 4 pack and they are definitely harder to squeeze than your normal hand grippers. I like that you can either use them nurled metal or with the foam grip covers. I find the foam more slippery, but much more comfortable. I grip with over 160lbs and doing that on bare metal HURTS. They are not cheaply built and work very well for my purposes of improving and maintaining grip strength and my guitar fretting strength.
I do wish that the weights listed on them were more accurate. I shouldn’t be able to grip the 200lb one closed but I can and this means it is far less than that. I’d venture to guess the 200lb gripper takes about 130lbs of force to make the grips touch each other. I’ve never found a hand gripper that matched the stated capacity though so I don’t fault them too hard. IT’s still the strongest grip trainer I’ve ever used.

They are great. One note the jump from 50lb to 100lb may be a lot for many people. Suggest getting 50, 75, 100 etc in 25lb incrrments to start out. Exmaple my tern son finds 50lb too light and 100lb too heavy. I find 100lb to be perfect for me, but 150lb feels like a huge jump up. After using 3 times per week for a couple weeks, my grip is strengthening and Im near moving up to 150lb.

I’ve had this set for about 2 weeks now and it’s been great. I gave up strenuous labor for an office job 14 years ago and paid the price for it by losing most of my muscle tone and hand strength. This strength trainer set is already making a difference. You start with the 50lb tension grip and work at it each day until it becomes too easy than you move up to the next grip. They also come with foam covers in case the knurling on the grips hurts your hands.
The grips are marked on the bottom with the lb rating so you can keep track of your progress easier.
I’m already finding the 50 lb set too easy and ready to move to the 100 lb set.
20 reps each hand…3 to 4 sets of reps per day and your hands will gain their strength back quickly. Your forearms too will benefit.
Best part is you can do this while working or watching TV. No need to set aside time for the workout. You can literally do them anywhere at any time.

I had unexplained pain in my finger joints. I attributed it to my weak bones & joints(I am 70). Using the grip exerciser only a couple of times made me feel better. The price seems to be a bit on the higher side, but with sponge sleeves (which I did not expect) I guess, It’s OK.
