Our dog loved these. They smell horrible, but he loved them. Unfortunately, I trusted this label and the treat guidelines too blindly; after a nightmare 15 hours, my dog has personally seen to it that we deep clean our carpet. Now he’s in a little doggie diaper and eating a gourmet boiled chicken dinner for the next week.

After taking him to the vet earlier this morning, we found that a single treat contains about twice the suggested dosage of milk thistle for a dog of 25 lbs, as it boasts a single treat is dosed for. Not only can too much milk thistle cause certain liver conditions WORSE, but the main side effect of even the correct dosage is going to be gastric distress.

When this warning label said it may cause GI discomfort, it was being polite. In 9 years I have never had the experience I have had since last night’s expulsions began from my dog. It’s not necessarily the brands fault…

but it is incredibly irresponsible for them to overshoot the dosages. leave that increase to the individual pet parent, or at least make it clear on the label that you’ve exceeded standard suggested dosages for the supplements.

The Liver Bites have been on my dog’s medication list for several years and they work well. This time I was shipped the Mobility Bites by mistake. It has the right scanning label for Liver Bites, but its the wrong label. I didn’t check when they arrived and it was too late to return when I opened the jar and saw a different color bite.

My 14-year-old Miniature Schnauzer’s blood work came back with elevated liver enzymes and low red blood cells. He has always had bad dental problems due to his genetics. He is due for a deep cleaning and extractions again for the 2nd time; however, the vet will not put him under with his bloodwork and enzymes the way they are. The vet started him on pulse antibiotics and pain meds and we have started giving him these once a day to try and get his enzymes balanced. We have had no problems with him eating them. We drop it in his food bowl with his breakfast and he goes for it 1st. Will update my review based on updated bloodwork in 3 months. They do smell bad but I’m not the one eating them and I transfered them to an airtight container to keep them fresh. We started the chews a week before his pulse meds and we noticed an overall improvement in his activity level and easier bowel movements. A little on the pricey side but if it helps him and he likes them then it’s worth it for my fur buddy.

Update: although this product unfortunately wasn’t something my dog would touch, I’m updating my review and giving the COMPANY 5 stars. There is 100% satisfaction guarantee on these products, but I never reached out. They recently reached out to ME offering a full refund for the product based on my review. I respect highly that they take the time to read all of the customer experiences AND to reach out and offer refunds to anyone who didn’t have a great experience. Additionally, I stand by the fact that of all of the supplements for liver health that I found, this product has the most comprehensive list of beneficial ingredients that I was looking for. If they’d make it in a tablet form that I could easily hide from my picky little man, I most assuredly would have him back on this product. Thanks for caring and being a stand up company, genuinely more concerned about animal health than you are about just money.

This supplement has everything I want and need for my fur kid who badly needs liver support. Unfortunately none it does me any good because he despises them and can smell it in anything. Like this company’s probiotic that I purchased for my other dog- who also refuses to eat them- they are not so much chews as dried out crumbles that literally fall apart. They are also very large and the consistency doesn’t allow for simply breaking off pieces and hiding them in something delicious. They just fall apart. These products aren’t inexpensive and I may as well have thrown money away. Whomever wrote the reviews and THINKS that they have picky dogs either purchased a different formulation or they don’t know what a picky dog is. And I’m fact, my dog really isn’t picky at all. So these must be pretty gross. They stain my hands orange and I wouldn’t eat them either. The calming chews were recommended by a French bulldog website but both of the products I wasted too much money on also had rave reviews. I just don’t feel like any of their products, at this point, are likely to be palatable if they describe these as palatable and expect dogs to eat them. They really do have everything but the kitchen sink in them and ingredient wise are amazing. However, that’s not in any way useful to me if my dog won’t eat them and they can’t be hidden. This company should consider discontinuing alleged chewables (that really just fall apart like sand clumped together) and maybe put these ingredients into smaller tablet form that CAN be hidden or administered by hand.

At first, I thought these were going to be great. I definitely liked the ingredients and the fact that they are bite sized, soft chews. And for the first two days, my dog was okay with them as a treat, but then she started refusing to eat them. So, I wrapped them in a piece of cheese and that worked for a couple of days, but then she was on to me and got to the point where she didn’t even trust taking a piece of cheese (without the supplement) from me. She literally turned her nose up at them. I can’t say as I blame her, because they smell absolutely horrible! Another downside is that they crumble easily, which led to me crumbling them up into her food, which I make (eggs, rice/pasta, veggies, etc). This too only worked for a day or two, before she was turning her nose up at a bowl of food that was (except for the supplement) suitable for any dog or human t I eat. Now I can hardly get her to eat her food! If something could be done to make the smell and evidently, the taste of the chews appealing, I feel this could be a good product based on its ingredients. But it doesn’t do any good if it smells so rancid that the dog won’t eat it!
