The hemp additive is great for my dogs joints so I hope it’s doing what it’s promising I’ve been giving them this brand for a while and have no complaints my dogs usually lick their paws and it’s a bit less frequent since I added this to their food

My dog had bad dandruff and scabs, but this stuff has made her fur shiny and skin almost perfect in just a couple of weeks. I mix into her wet food at dinner time. One pump (one teaspoon) per 20 pounds of dog weight.

My pup had skin issues and I dont know if it’s because we went to the vet and he had a 10day antibiotic for the swollen areas or if it’s just a coincidence I started the oil right around the same time BUT my pup skin/coat is so much better!!! I really think the oil is working. I give it to him with his food morning and evening. I dont find the small to be strong. At first I would totally mix it and he would eat no problem. Then after 2weeks he wasnt throwing himself on it as fast as he used to so I decided to put the oil first then the food on top without mixing and hes back to normal… his coat is shiny and so very soft. Idk if it’s the product but I feel like it is so I’m gonna keep using until I find out otherwise…

I buy the largest bottles and they’re the same price as the ones I used to buy… but these last me two months and the old ones only lasted 1. The top will leak if it tips over but as long as your paying attention it should be fine

I purchased this product after one of my canine companions started unexpectedly losing LOTS of fur and developing flaky bald spots.
We tried a combination of ivermectin and hot lime sulfur dips due to suspicion of demodex mange, which did seem to clear up the worst of the bald spots, but did not completely stop the dry flaky skin or overall coat thinning. The vet was not able to conclusively prove there were mites with a scrape, but we were able to rule out immune issues, infection, or other major concerns, so we’re down to a few possibilities: allergies, hormonal sensitivity (he was recently neutered), or it could still possibly be a mild case of demodectic mange.
Basically, short of continuing to subject my pet to harsh treatments of ivermectin and dips (which I don’t want to do unless necessary), we were given the OK to try just dietary changes and monitoring. My research indicated that salmon oil can help with skin and coat issues, and hemp can aid in allergy relief, so we decided to give this product a try, in combination with some high quality food and vitamins.
I wish I could tell you that this immediately cleared up all his issues! Sadly, it’s not a miracle cure. However, my little guy did grow some of his fur back on his head and tail area (though we continue to experience thinning on his haunches). Furthermore, I am pleasantly surprised that this does NOT stink of fish, and my pets like it. I provide this to a couple of my pups as I figure it is healthy for them all! They aren’t as crazy for it as some of their other supplements, but they will take it without complaint.
I am hopeful that we will resolve my pet’s skin & fur issues and that this product will assist in that. I will update the review if I have any major changes to report.

Update #2: I’ve been giving this fish oil to my dog for over a year and a half. My dog is a full pittie, which is a breed notorious for allergies and skin problems. This oil, plus the Aller-Immune Bites and the vet’s recommendation of daily doses of benadryl, have totally cured my dog. She also gets bathed with medicated shampoo once a week as an extra preventative measure. She just turned 10 and she looks healthy, happy and is energetic. She doesn’t get rashes anymore and has stopped chewing on her feet. Her fur is super soft and her underbelly is clear. Even the vet was amazed by how good she looked for an older dog. I’ll keep buying Zesty Paws products if it keeps my dog in excellent health!!
Update #1: 2 pumps daily is probably going to stretch into 3 months. Dog still loves it and her coat is soooo, soooo soft. Energy level still up!! She’s ready for whatever!! This stuff must do something for arthritis and old age.
I bought this to see if it would actually benefit my dog in any noticeable way. Before this, I was using the ZPaws oil without the hemp, so I wasn’t sure how this would differ from the regular oil.
My dog is a 9 yr old pitbull. She’s not exactly a huge ball of energy anymore. She also has skin allergies. This fish oil with hemp has done several things for her. She’s got her old puppy energy and playfulness back and she dances around waiting for her food to be prepared in the morning. Her fur is glossy and sooooo soft. She had some thin areas of fur (hot spots) that are now filling in with new fur. Her eyes are bright and clear. The skin allergy on her paws is about 90% resolved. I’m amazed at how healthy and active she is after 5 weeks of using this. The hemp has made a huge difference!
She’s 55lbs and gets 2 pumps mixed into her dry kibble once a day. I add the benadryl tab in and because its hidden in her food with the fish oil, she takes it and doesn’t spit the pill back out. The bottle is a little under the halfway point so I should get about 2 months out of one big bottle. It keeps well in the fridge. It does smell fishy, but my dog doesn’t smell like it after she eats it.
