This is my first time buying coco coir and using it. I was using this coco coir for seed starting and one brick took me at least 2 litres of boiling water to expand properly. I would recommend trying to get a smaller chunk of the brick if you don’t want to use a lot like others have said. No weird smells and a decent price for the amount you get. I’d buy it again.

For such a small block it has amazing volume my terrarium is like 12 gallons and I still have some left over. I will most certainly be buying this product again. Quality is amazing. Smells clean. My tarantula seems to love it

I was impressed with this easy to use substrate. I liked it’s clean scent and affordable price. My geckos seemed to like this substrate just as much as any other brand. A very nice product at a very nice
price, from a very nice seller.

My snails seem to enjoy this. I mean they haven’t said anything really but yknow. I think they do. I hope…. But easy clean and doesn’t really grow mold so that’s good!

So I typically use this as a mix between reptichips and coconut husk/coir to make my own blend of substrate. For 1: it smells so good. A clean, earthy scent. 2: it really helps immensely with humidity levels without getting overly saturated and forming mold. 3: it’s easy to break down as you soak it to decompress the fibers. There’s nothing bad I can say about this substrate. My snakes love it and it makes clean up a breeze.

I have gotten this several times for my pet reptiles and we will continue getting this brand. It works great comes in a nice package. Very easy to use just put in a bucket add water and it starts to break down into a nice fluffy coco mulch. Smells nice and seems sterile and made in a factory and packaged with care. Very easy to clean and change out once done I just used a cup or small handheld dust pan. I love the small Blue plastic hand broom with dustpan combo works great every time. After done in my tanks with my snakes or crested geckos, I had the old Coco mulch out into my plants in the yard for secondary use. Can be used for many different purposes!

There are a few uses for it. Most will use it to cover a lizard cage. I like it for my soil. It breaks up the soil and keeps the moisture. This product also takes care of a couple of environmental concerns. Peet bogs are being stripped and are releasing co2. The coconut husks are a by product of the coconut industry. This helps with both problems. I just wish it were a little less expensive. But it is a very good product. I know I will buy it again.
SUPER REVIEWS –
I bought this coco brick for my Tarantulas, and so far they enjoy it.
If you want to purchase this coco brick, keep in mind it is not ready to use immediately after purchase. You must first soak the coco brick in a gallon of clean water and let it sit for several minutes. After this happens, the brick has expanded several times its original size. This provides a large supply of coco bedding.
However, my one problem is that after soaking up the water, the coco bedding remains wet for a while, so I have to let it sit out in the sun so it dries out quicker.
Other than that, this coco bedding works very well.

This was my first time buying substrate so when I saw the price I kinda assumed it wouldn’t be that much, I was very wrong about that. You definitely can fill a pretty big tank with this. I had enough to put in both my small tank and my big tank. The bigger tank is prolly at least 40 gallons. I mean I’ve never bought substrate before but I’d say this is a pretty good price for as much as you get.
SUPER REVIEWS –
I bought two and one of the packages came with a ripped corner. Coconut is now on EVERYTHING Amazon packed with it, including a book. I didn’t seem to lose much of any of the product though, so there’s that. Next time I’ll just order separately lol.
Otherwise it’s great for my ball, I’m happy with it.

I cut pieces of with my power saw for plant, cactus & flower pots, worm bedding, lizard bedding, TONS of uses.
A small piece expands in water quickly and retains moisture well.
Only one star off because it’s much cheaper in volume but most of us aren’t using it for high volume hydroponics/ gardening so it kind of bugs me that it’s getting so expensive and less finely chopped.
Otherwise, it’s a good product.

Works great and expands easily. Covers plenty of space and provides a nice coverage along with appearance.

this dirt is awesome especially for the price. the brick is pretty big so you get a lot even without soaking it. it also doesn’t stink at all, which I saw some reviews saying. I didn’t have nor want to make my coconut fiber wet since it’s just for my pet praying mantis. it was pretty hard to break up but that’s only because it was dry
