For a simple docking station, this Baseus 5 in 1 is great. I like the light on the top that indicates whether or not the port I am using supports screen casting or not, and the ability to turn that on and off. This will be especially useful in a setting where I want to shut the screen off temporarily, such as when doing a presentation. But I didn’t really need that in my everyday use, I just needed something simple that would support a monitor and increase my USB ports, and this one does that.
The cord is pretty short at only about 9″, so it works best laying on the desk next to my laptop and does not realistically have the option of mounting it very far away, like under or on the side of my desk.
I am using it to run a 2nd monitor and have two USB devices plugged into it. All is working well. The monitor looks just as good as when I plug it into my laptop directly or use a more expensive port I own.

This works for my purposes. It has limited connection points, and it didn’t come with an AC adapter. It does not advertise that it does, but it was something I just assumed. So I had to buy one, which was ok, but just an added expense you should be aware of. The USB cord for the computer is pretty short. It would be helpful if that was a bit longer. You can connect just one monitor to it with your laptop being the other. For my purposes that worked out, but usually I need to connect at least two additional monitors. The USB-C port is where you will plug in the AC adapter. So don’t count that port for use. The three USB ports fill fast, so you may need to get a USB extender with additional ports. This is good for a basic and easy setup.

I teach and use a docking port a lot for our school’s Macbooks. The main features I need are USB and HDMI, which this one has. It works great and so far feels more durable (and lighter) than the one the school provides. I have used it for presentations and to connect to my printer, which it did super fast with no trouble.
My favorite thing about it is the screen-off button. It’s a nice way to make your presentations feel more professional–or to quickly turn off the screen in case you forget to hide student grades.
It seems a decent price too from what I’ve seen, though there are more expensive ones out there that can do more.

I bought this item to use as a docking station when I got a new Lenovo laptop. The item itself seems well-made. It has three USB ports and HDMI port and a power input/output.
The first sign of trouble was when I fired up the Lenovo laptop and got an error message, saying that the USB device I had connected to it (this docking station) wasn’t functioning properly. After playing around with settings for a little bit things seem to get better, But each time I would start up the laptop I got the same problem and had to go by fixing the problem, or at least attempting to fix the problem!
The final straw for me was being woken up this morning at 2:30 AM to the repeated sound of a Windows error notification, informing me that the USB device connected to my computer wasn’t recognized. I disconnected the keyboard, mouse, WebCam, and even the HDMI connection to the monitor, get the problem persisted. Only when I disconnected the laptop from the docking station did the error message stop.
These things are supposed to be universal, so I don’t know what the issue is all I know is that I’ve now removed it from my home office set up and I’m directly connecting the USB devices, the power, and the HDMI cable to the laptop itself. This is going to make it a little less convenient to move the laptop around, but it certainly beats being woken up in the middle of the night!

Only three stars because it’s not quite what it claims to be.
Generally speaking, a docking station is the power to a computer set-up. It provides power to the laptop and supports external devices through a variety of ports. A hub, on the other hand, DRAWS POWER from the laptop in order to provide additional ports for external devices. This device is a portable hub, not a docking station.
There are five ports on this hub – 3 USBs, 1 HDMI, and 1 USB-C. It uses a USB-C port on your device (phone, laptop, tablet) with its male USB-C end.
I have only used it with a laptop at the moment. I have plugged it into my phone and tried connecting that to a monitor, which worked with limited success, but I’m not sure I’d use that function much.
Because of it’s portability, I will use this as an external hub when travelling with my laptop and I need an additional port or two.
Presumably the lit up button in the center of the device is an easy off button to “shut the cast screen and keep your personal information secure, preventing any unwanted sharing of sensitive data during presentation or conference”. I haven’t used it and see no need for it personally, but I don’t make presentations with my personal laptop.

I love having this thing in my bag as part of my standard carry kit. The additional ports make it something that I can use regularly as kind of a port extender / expansion port for day to day needs. As for casting, I’ve only used it for this purpose a few times, though the small form factor and aforementioned high speed ports make it an easy addition to the bag.
As for casting itself, I didn’t notice any loss in quality and the screen-off button worked as expected. Overall a decent choice if you’re in the lookout for a good balance of size and functionality.

I’m not sure if the material is plastic or aluminum but it feels nice to the touch. I can squeeze it as hard as I can in my hand and nothing creaks or moves out of place. The added bonus of being able to use a USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, SD and mini SD is really nice in such a tiny package.
