This is hands down worth every penny! Quality sound and the speaker overall is huge! Very heavy! & nice ! Was easy to hook up the only problem is, is that Bose didn’t provide a AUX cable to hook it up to your sound bar.. so you can’t use it right out the box. I was lucky enough to have owned one already, but if I didn’t I wouldn’t have been able to connect it until I bought one. So make sure you have one and long enough also.

Bose Bass Module 700 sounds amazing. Make sure you are using the bose app to tune everything properly. It didn’t sound very good right out of the box. 5 minutes with the app and it THUMPS. I encourage you to test with Post Malone’s Wow.
Just Me –
Yea it’s expensive… but worth every penny. The way it adds to the overall sound is incredible. Even at low volumes, the bass is subtle and deep, at loud volumes… it’s even more badass.

Produto excelente, funciona muito bem, qualidade de graves perfeita. Tem ajuste pelo controle remoto da barsound e pelo app no celular.

The worst part is its pricey. What was most important to me was for it to operate seamlessly within my system Sound system HAD to come on with the tv and cable box or it was going back I bought the bose new ultra soundbar first and got it working with little trouble, ordered this later Hooked it up with the 3.5 mm cable NOT included (cmon Bose, if I spend seventeen hundred dollars on a premium sound system, the least you could do is send me the cable to hook up with). Installation only took a couple minutes. I turned it on with the Bose music app and it just connected. No fuss. One button turns everything on and that controller also works the volume, You can change the speaker level (I set it to 20) and the bass/treble bias (I left it flat) I tried several movies one of which was the 1974 blockbuster Earthquake. It was filmed using Sensurround and gave a visceral feeling of being in the earthquake. This system is very close to that original sensation. VERY impressive. If the soundtrack is such that you don’t need a big bass push it sits there unobtrusively until it’s called upon. I also played Phantom of the opera. The overture must be heard to be believed. Streaming music is a joy. It is possibly the best music system I have ever owned. The short answer is, if you want the best but don’t need to fill a theater drop the dime and get this system. I doubt you will be disappointed.

I never thought I would spend $1000 on a subwoofer alone, but here we are. Is it worth it?
I was tied between this and the Bose bass module 500. I ended up going with this model as it apparently pairs best with the Soundbar 900. So far, I am extremely impressed with it.
People in reviews seem obsessed with rattling their picture frames and physically feeling the vibrations. I’m not rich like those people are. I have it setup in an attached townhouse with roomates. So I have to be mindful and not cause too many disturbances with it.
I will say that even at low volumes, this subwoofer magically adds an exceptional range of sound to the Bose 900 Soundbar. I’m hearing deep rumbles, as well as other subtle low notes that make the the sound range sound like a complete experience. It’s hard to explain, but imagine someone with a deep voice talking while distant thunder echos. The subwoofer can simultaneously produce all those low notes without mixing them together. It somehow keeps the sounds clean.
At loud volumes, the bass reminds me of being in the movie theatre. It’s an absolute treat to crank it up as the subwoofer does NOT overpower the levels coming from the soundbar 900. In fact, I don’t care it if bothers the neighbours. I heard their fighting enough over the years that they can put up with the occasional bombastic bass hits. We’ll call it even. When I tested white noise at a high volume, my mom thought a plane was flying by outside.
If you DO care more about your neighbours than I do, The Bose app keeps the Bass module 700 at 0. You can adjust it to as low as -100 if you are considerate, or bump it up to +100 if you have a pair of depends and want to feel the brown notes.
The wireless bluetooth connection to the 900 is fantastic because it only needs the power cable. Meaning you can have the bass module further away if your setup requires it.
So in answer, Yes, I feel it is worth the one grand investment to your audio setup. You’ll keep the same speakers over several TV replacements. So best you treat yourself to clean and clear audio to enjoy for years to come.

Over the years I have owned several bows sound bars but have never bought a subwoofer. I bought the 700 not too long ago synced it to my ultra Bose soundbar and boom, some of the best deep sounds I have experienced…
A long time ago, I owned a pair of cerwin Vega home speakers, 15 and the sounds were amazing… With technology, this subwoofer definitely keeps up with the deep sounds I have been used to..
I synced this subwoofer to The Bose ultra soundbar and this is by far is some of the best combination of sounds I have ever heard….
If you’re on the fence of thinking about buying it, granted it’s a little costly but well worth the money and the investment. You won’t be displeased!

Take it from a bass head who loves some deep, tasty bass – this thing kicks out some of the cleanest-sounding bass I’ve ever heard. It’s not necessarily IN YOUR FACE RATTLE YOUR HOUSE bass (…but it definitely can be if you turn it all the way up… in which case, enjoy!) it’s natural sound profile is that it’s just sort of, like, there. It’s both subtle and substantial. You ‘feel’ it just as much as you hear it, which to me means you’re getting very clean lows. I think a lot of people’s perception of good/strong bass is a bit tainted because it usually correlates with everything around it rattling to hell and adding to the ‘bass’ noise. Not saying that’s bad per se, just that the sound coming from this thing is a lot of both the bass ‘feel’ and the bass sound, because it’s not distorted… It’s hard to describe, but it’s a great experience.
It makes sense if you know the classic Bose sound profile from other Bose speakers which emphasizes crisp, clean sound. This is like that, but for bass. And it’s great.
Wireless works great. Setup is a breeze. I paired this with Bose 700 soundbar and you have to go into the app, click the soundbar, go to settings, and then ‘add auxiliary speaker’ or something… It’s not added/set up in the app the same way as the sound bar was which is what I was expecting.
I placed this in the corner of the living room, whereas the TV and sound bar are in the middle. I was worried it would be noticeable the bass was coming from the corner and it wouldn’t sound balanced in the room, but it didn’t make a difference to me. Because it’s such clean bass, and it’s felt just as much as it is heard, the directionality wasn’t a problem and it sounds fantastic. It just layers on this nice rich low-end to the already beautiful sound profile of the sound bar. The combination is magnificent.
Build quality is fantastic, thing feels sturdy and robust. The glass and metal exterior is very clean looking. My wife said it sort of looks like a high-end trash can at first glance…? (we have the white one) I can’t say I totally disagree but I think it looks very nice and minimalist. It easily tucks under a side table or next to a couch or chair and out of sight anyways.

Upgraded from 500 to 700, what a difference! Excellent quality heavy unit with exceptional sound delivery. Works perfectly with my sound-bar 700 and surround speakers. The unit is little bit pricey but worth every penny. Highly recommended.

This bass unit is amazing. The only negative is Bose being cheap and not including the 3.5 mm jack to connect it to the soundbar. For the price you pay Bose can include the three cent cable with the unit. Purchased this unit along with the Bose Ultra Soundbar and the Surround Sound 700 speakers. Amazing sound. Pricey, but Bose knows what they’re doing with sound. I have a different soundbar on another TV and this Bose set up has much more depth of sound. You hear things you can’t hear on the other soundbar.

Bose 700 subwoofer sounds very good. Quality while rocking the house is hard to come by in a small package, Bose 700 pulled it off.
Bose app settings i use are Bass Module speaker level +50 and Bass +30, seems to be the best settings for heart pounding bass when watching movies like Fast and The Furious. Adapt iQ muffles bass notes, but I found adapt iQ makes for a better surround sound experience overall. Anytime you add a new speaker to your bose app make sure to re run adapt iQ setup for the best surround sound experience, only if your using adapt iQ will this make any difference.
