Paired the sound bar with my 55” C3. Set up was easy. It’s a 2 person job. Sound is great. There’s not many instructions or online resources for the sound settings but after playing with it a little, the sound is good. To me the bass sounds good, to loud for my wife.

The biggest barrier to buying this product was the high cost. The LG website has it listed for $799.00 as do other retail outlets. When I found this available for sale as open box I jumped on it. This is a very good soundbar and it functions seamlessly with my LG OLED C model TV. The biggest attraction for me was the included stand that allows the bar to be installed in front of the TV on a stand. I am really enjoying the sound quality and ability to select sound modes with my TV remote. I recommend this if it fits your LG TV. It is made for specific LG models. And Prime makes it easy.

I’m using this on a LG EVO C4 65′ in a 12×14 room. The depth it gives to the sound is simply amazing!!! It will fill the room but if you’re looking for the water in the glass to shimmer while watching Jurassic Park, this isn’t a sound bar for you. Most reviews are correct in that the C4 TV is actually louder than when the is sc9 connected. However, what it does provide is room filling sound that is loud enough for me, while not disturbing others in the house. This upgrade is about quality, accurate sound, versus loud. Loud doesn’t mean quality but if you’re looking for loud AF that will get cops called, look at the Nakamichi….I wasn’t looking for that. For any audiophile on a budget and in a small room…..sc9 is amazing!!!

Upon reading reviews I decided to give this product a shot. One reviewer made the remark that the original TV speakers were louder than the sound bar and the subwoofer is true. But the sound bar and subwoofer make the sound more clearer. You can definitely distinguish the highs and the lows and we love how the base works from the subwoofer. If you want something that has a massive boom continuously. This is not your product you need a separate amplifier and subwoofer system. The subwoofer works when it is appropriate in with movie. This item really does provide crystal clear sound at high levels with perfect base to match. Setup was extremely easy if you have an LG TV ,and you can use the TV remote to control the soundbar and subwoofer which is important. I was tired of having too many remotes. We are really happy with this product and look forward to getting a second one.

The music reproduction is very “bright”. The sliders for bass or treble have little if any effect. There is no adjustment for midrange.
It works fine and and of course is a big improvement over the TV. I have not used this with DT-X or Dolby Digital

This is billed as a 3.1 system. It is only 3.1 if your are decoding DTX or Dolby Atmos. It will connect to your phone wirelessly to use the LG App but will not stream multi room audio. The only compatible speakers are LG SQ8. They aren’t really wireless. They have a receiver that gets a signal from the sound bar wirelessly but you run speaker wire from the reciever to the speakers. Having checked with LG There are no wireless speakers available.
