It supports two m.2 and has a couple of sata ports, so plenty for basic storage assuming you are running 2-4TB and not 6x 512gb. It has 4 memory slots making upgrade better (add instead of replace). The whole thing was (almost) plug and play into a mini-atx case. However, it does NOT have an ARGB port (which I overlooked).

I had to return the item at first because the CPU socket was damaged. They sent a second one immediately and it is working well to this day.

Note that for both deliveries, it was simply the product box with the address label put on it. No amazon packaging or anything.

It arrived DOA. I tested the power supply unit and it’s working fine. The first thing I did was try to jump the power switch pins to see if the mobo would power on and sadly it did not. I should have listened to the other reviewers that said this mobo is a piece of garbage.

The device is good but design needs improvement. The installation of SSD drives is blocked once GPU installed. All SATA ports are blocked with GPU installed. Upon pulling a SATA cable while holding release on cable provided with device, the port came with the cable and is now unusable. This was on day one of installation. I am experienced PC builder and have used MSI products for years. This was the first to break. Also keep in mind this is not a Micro-ATX but a regular ATX motherboard size. Overall it is worth buying and works well aside the location of SATA ports and SSD M.2 ports being placed poorly by design. If you want to upgrade your SSD you should not have to remove your GPU. To change a SATA cable you should not need to remove your GPU to reach the port and the port should be much more sturdy on a board that is marketed as Ultra Durable. I like the functionality for the price but I expect more out of the MSI brand name on durability and ease of use. Please engineer better than this in the future MSI.

Bought a brand new system. It was resetting itself right out of the box. It turns out that many manufacturers are adjusting the default timings to the upper level of an average intel cpu.

Good motherboard with four RAM slots for future expansion. I have built several systems on this board in the last few months with no issues. I do find it hilarious that in 2023/2024 you can still buy a motherboard with a VGA port. I mean yes there are a few use cases for that but they are few and far between. I bet 99.9% of these boards never get anything plugged in there. I’d rather save $1 on the motherboard and not have a VGA port!

I was looking for a budget friendly board for my work computer. I’ve had quite a few MSI motherboards and other products in the past. Having had great experiences before, I decided on them once again. The motherboard has everything I need for a workhorse. I loaded it up with a 13th gen i5, 1tb ssd, and 64gb of ram. Yes 64gb and its rockin! Its a great dev machine and I’m very happy with it so far. No issues whatsoever from the motherboard.

I got back into PC’s last year. I built a Core i3 12100f and 6650XT system. Great 1080p high and 1400p medium/low system for a starter. I recently upgraded to a 12600k that I got at a steal and an 6800 that I also got at a phenomenal sale price. Well into stable 1440p performance now. I was debating on just keeping the i3 and 6650xt as a backup. I instead decided to build a second system to keep at my mom’s house so she has a new computer for printing documents and social media, as well as making sure I have a PC to still game on when I visit. This board was simple and I actually preferred the software in comparison to my Gigabyte B660m board I have. This board does not have all the bells and whistles, including no ARGb header or VRM heatsinks. However, this board will likely never go beyond a 12600k and my current 6800. This board now hosts the i3 and 6650xt and it is nice to have a way to play my games away from my home when I visit mom. This board with that combo performa very well and is a great way to get an affordable system. Just make sure if you want RGB you will need a case that has SATA powered fans. I am going to be buying another one soon so I can build a for sale system with an RX5500xt and I have full confidence this will make a great e-sports PC for a new or basic gamer. My only gripe with this board is that the power connectors are SUPER tight. You may think this is the PSU I used but I previously used the power supply in my previous build and those didn’t have an issue with my main MB. Just worries me if I ever decide to upgrade from the 550watt unit that is currently in the system.

This motherboard is my first MSI build. It provides what I need, namely sufficient power and sufficient expansion capabilities. The last desktop I purchased was sometime before the last turn of the century. All the others I have assembled myself. It is always an adventure and this one was very smooth. The system has a 12th generation Intel cpu (12100f), 32 gb of ram (DDR4, 3200 mhz), and an MSI RX 580 graphics card. This motherboard has a gen 4 PCIe bus and the speed is readily visible, so a gen 4 nvme is advisable to take advantage of the available speed. Mine is an HP (500 gb) that is plenty quick. This system runs the Zorin OS (Linux), which started up smoothly the first time I turned it on. (That’s what’s nice about Linux, that you can move a hard drive from one machine to another and it starts up smoothly in the new build.) Motherboards need to be stable and provide a solid foundation for your desktop. This one does precisely that and provides two expansion slots currently used for a wifi card (TP-Link) and a usb-c card. The motherboard also can accept a 13th generation Intel cpu, which allows for updating down the road. This will necessitate DDR5 ram however. This system is built for everyday computing, and the motherboard provides a good foundation for that. Best of luck in your computing adventures. This MSI motherboard meets my needs quite adequately.
