Our Reviews and Stuff –
i had a pair before, loved them and gave them to my wife before she went on a long trip.
bought these to replace the ones i gave her, what i liked was the overall quality and the new one has noise cancelling options rather than the google assistant option button.
after a few short weeks I woke up and took my headphones off the charger, and tried to turn them on…
nothing
researched and discovered 2 options one to reset and retain your pairing info , and one to factory reset.
neither worked,
so now i get to find out if there is any warranty or replacement possible, Sony is a huge corp. and i hope they don’t disregard the little guys….

So far everything seems to work well. Noise cancelling is quite good. I use the headphones when I mow my lawn. The mower noise is greatly reduced and I can hear my music quite well.

These headphones have the best sound quality for the price you pay for. The noise cancelling is pretty good for what they are overall these headphones are probably the best you can buy for the price tag, they feel well made and durable. Only complaint I have are the touch controls on the right side of the headphones. Other than that for what they are listed for seems very reasonable!

I think this is not a unique problem for my device cuz I have seen similar complaints, that occasionally this device could suddenly lose connection for a while & reconnect.
Other than that, noise cancellation: good enough for me;
sound quality: good enough for me;
battery life: my buying point. It is great to have such a long life + fast charging. Sharing a place with roommates? This will absolutely raise the quality of life.
Our Reviews and Stuff –
PROS:
– For the price range, the ANC was outstanding. I also enjoyed the ‘normal’ and ‘ambient’ modes as well
– I enjoyed the swiping feature on the right ear (1) left/right to go forward or backwards in a list of shows, or music etc. (2) up/down for the volume (3) and to pause/mute touch the center.
– Charging was quick and the battery would last me at least 2-3 days (and I wear these things a lot!). Nice feature: when there is no input, after roughly 30 minutes, the headset would turn off to save battery.
– Worked well on telephone calls, connected to my Android phone.
– The earpiece was very comfortable, and I really didn’t have much problems with sweating or fatigue. I could wear them for hours and be fine.
– The padding on the head strap was sufficient, and the ability to adjust was simple.
– Overall, for the price, the sound quality is amazing!
CONS:
** THERE IS A SPEAKER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EARPIECE THAT JABS/HURTS YOUR EAR – PAIN!!!!** [See pictures]
– This headset connects to ONLY 1 DEVICE!!
– I am a smaller lady, only 5 feet tall, so everything on me is little. I noticed these Sonys had a rather tight grip, more so than any other headset I’ve ever owned. It took a while to get used to the tightness, but you have a larger head, I would think these would be painful (in addition to the speaker stabbing your ear)!
– I use my headsets mostly to watch TV, via my WIN10 computer. There is an app in the Google Play store for this headset which provides a rather crude equalizer – but I can’t use it, while watching Netflix or HBO etc. Thus, I cannot control any bass/treble settings through my computer. I believe this headset is made to pair with your phone – no so much a Windows computer.
BOTTOM LINE: I had no choice but to RETURN this headset. I actually started showing red marks on my upper ear where these inner speakers were jabbing me, it was so painful!! I saw, when I purchased this item, it recommended purchasing a different set of earphone pads – maybe that’s what you have to do to stop these speakers from hitting your ear?
RECOMMENDATION: I purchased the Anker Soundcore Q45, and I am in LOVE with these. I would HIGHLY recommend the Ankers over the Sonys!

Before buying these I already had Airpod Pros, and I wanted to try these out hoping they’d be more comfortable on my head for my online classes. The sound quality was pretty good, with the bass better than the Airpods due to the over-ear design (at least in my opinion). The noise cancellation on these did give me a headache every time I tried using it which never happens with my Airpods. And the “transparency mode” on these also wasn’t as good. Strange for some headphones that originally retailed almost the same price as the Airpod Pros.
I tried selling them to my little brother for use with his Xbox but he said the mic wasn’t working properly. Will be returning these.

Had these headphones for less than a year and a bracket broke under normal, gentle use. I was sliding the headphones off my head and a bracket inside the cup snapped.
Sony’s warranty only covers software issues and the repair centre doesn’t even have parts for this model so the problem can’t be repaired.
If you’re buying headphones at this price point, find a brand that stands by their products.

I was leary about getting a Sony set as I been a JBL fan for some time. But for the price of this unit, JBL in the same price range doesn’t come close.
Very nice fit also.
Dislike you need to download another app, but the app does have some nice filters on it. It’s just annoying.
Connecting is simple once the app is up an running.

Pros: These are by far my favourite overhead headphones.
Sound quality, noise cancelling, base, touch ear to have a conversation, ear padding is comfortable.
The con: slide off head easily if you are not wearing a scarf or hat to prevent the slippage while working out or have a large head, despite headband being adjustable. The headband broke, contacted Sony (not covered under warranty), third party repair store unable to repair because of part (head band) discontinued. It’s unfortunate, I wish I read the reviews of people who worked out in these headphones.

I bought these headphones after returning some atrocious JBL headphones. I am quite please with these headphones, they sound good and are comfortable to wear. The build quality is also nice, they aren’t just cheap plastic crap.
There are two annoyances that caused me to remove a star, I recommend these headphones but the annoyances are worth mentioning. First, you can’t charge these headphones and listen to music at the same time. I have noticed this trend lately with bluetooth headphones I don’t understand the reasoning behind it. The battery lasts a long time but if I forget to plug them in for a few days and the battery dies I can’t listen to music. I simply see no reason you aren’t allowed to listen to music at the same time you are charging.
The 2nd annoyance is the ambient noise being played through the headphones when using the microphone for a phone call or video call on a computer. These headphones have microphones that detect ambient noise which is how the noise cancelling works. For some reason Sony felt the need to play the sounds these microphones are picking up through the headphones when making a call. I have no idea why they made this decision. It is annoying and can make it difficult to hear the talker during a phone call/video conference.
All in the all these are good headphones and I am pleased with the purchase.

I got xm4’s on a $100 discount, but these sound 80-90% as good (which is still head and shoulders above others at the same price point) at half the price. Ended up returning the xm4s and kept these, since these were just such a good value.

Looks like its never been used. Perfect condition and sounds absolutely amazing. Very, very happy with purchase.
Update: It’s been a year and they are still going strong! Sound amazing and bass is still deep.
Another update: The glue holding the soft part to the top of the headphones became soft and didn’t hold it in place. Then the plastic housing of the headphones cracked in multiple places 🙁 They were good while they lasted
