Tougher Than You Need For Almost Any Adventure

The Outland X 8×42 binoculars can handle most anything the great outdoors has in store for them. They are completely waterproof and fogproof, so you can worry less about the effects of rain and humidity. The binoculars were designed with highly durable rubber armoring to protect them from accidental drops and the general wear and tear that comes from bringing them on camping trips, hunting excursions, and more.

Gently Adjustable for the Perfect View

The Outland X 8×42 binoculars have large center-focus knobs that allow you to quickly and precisely adjust the focus until you have a perfectly clear and bright image. The right-eye diopter adjustment helps you to compensate for any differences between your eyes. You can also easily adjust the inter-pupillary distance to match your preferences.

These binoculars come with a few essential accessories, including the classic neck strap and a convenient, microfiber carry pouch with drawstring. The included rain guard, lens covers, and objective lens caps mean that you can bring these binoculars on your next adventure without worrying about getting any dust or particles on the lenses.

The binoculars itself appears solid and viewing clarity is good. The neck strap for the binoculars can be thicker or made more sturdy. Overall, satisfied with product and zoom focus seems fine.

I really like these binoculars. They worked well for me, watching birds from my yard. They eye relief cups are easy to adjust. They’re not too heavy either.

The only problem I had was after 7 months, one of the eyepieces came lose and fell off. At first, I noticed the image in the two barrels were not aligned. Then, I noticed the left eyepiece was loose. Finally, it came off. Apparently, the action of removing the rubber dust covers put some strain on the eyepiece and the rubber armor that actually holds the eyepiece in place. Eventually, the rubber armor ripped (see image with pencil) and the eyepiece came free.

I definitely didn’t mistreat them. I’ve taken good care of these binoculars. The rubber surround holding the eyepieces just isn’t sturdy enough.

So, I emailed for an RMA because it has a manufacturer lifetime limited warranty. The RMA request was quick and easy. Initially, I called support. But, because the wait time was going to be too long, I decided to email them instead. In the email I explained the issue and included the same pictures. The next day they gave me an RMA number and made it clear I need to include a check or money order to cover processing (just over 14). Also, all original parts need to be included. It sounds like they’re going to send me a new kit. I shipped the binoculars at my cost today. I might update this review if anything interesting happens.

So far, the cost to ship the binoculars plus the service cost is about 40% of my total original order. I guess that’s a good deal. Better than buying another pair.

Although, I’m not keen on the service cost, I understand and accept it. The build of the binoculars could’ve prevented the additional cost to me. Support was very responsive, though. In the end, I think I’ll be happy with the replacement.

These binos are great value. They are well made, materials don’t feel cheap, and more compact than I expected. Images are sharp and crisp. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

I was going back n forth between these and $300 Nikon’s. Decided to go the less expensive route and pick these up. Always been a fan of Celestron telescopes so I figured ‘Why not?’ The 8×42 are perfect for general use like birding or seeing what the annoying neighbors are up to. They are lightweight and built solid. I easily would put these up to the $300 pair with very little difference. And if I lose them, not a big deal since I didn’t break the bank. Satisfied buyer!

So glad I bought these several years ago. They’ve been to Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier and the ocean many times. Everyone I ever shared these with always has asked, “WHERE did you get these”? I want some! This bring everything you are looking at right to your feet. PERFECT for watching wildlife. Highly Recommended.

It really needs a bigger case! Do they fit in the case? Yes. But….if you’re going to put the strap on then it’s a struggle to get them in. Otherwise so far I like them!

I like it has wide field, with good adjustments and micro adjustments on right eye. It’s perfect for national park trip. It is water resistant. The protection is proper. Its easy operation is pretty straight forward. The instruction is good for just in case.
