I use this to hold my iPad for voiceover work. If I navigate on the iPad it wobbles pretty badly. A nuisance but for the money, this is a pretty good stand.

I did not use one of the pipes so the height is good for use at the sofa. The stand is heavy enough and doesn’t wobble. The springs for clamp are pretty strong, but the holder is more suited to use on thicker tablets for a better grip. My tablet is Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A, quite slim thing. I prefer to use tablet in portrait mode and not a landscape, widescreen mode, so the clamp can’t grip the tablet, and thus the tablet simply slides off the clamp and would fall off. I can’t stretch the clamp wide enough (though it’s supposed to stretch to 11″?) to grab the top and bottom of tablet, so holding the tablet in portrait mode won’t work unless I use a string or two to hook the bottom of tablet. But I understand most people use tablets sideways, so it shouldn’t be an isse for majority of people.

It’s the right height for me (I’m 5′ 6″) and works great with my phone.
When I tried it with my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8″ 32 GB Wifi Tablet (Silver) – SM-T380NZSEXAR) & case (Fintie Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (NO S Pen Version), Smart Slim Shell Light Weight Stand Cover with Magnetically Detachable Wireless) it wasn’t so great. The tablet and case are a little bit too heavy. The stand kept lowering the screen after I put it where I wanted it to be.
The stand is nice looking, easy to assemble and takes up very little space.
I think it’s great for a phone or small/light tablet. My tablet has an 8″ screen so it’s not the smallest tablet but also not the biggest.

Holds my device so I don’t drop it on my face, fits different sizes, well made. And if you remember that the device has to be if front of the weighted base for counter balance, it doesn’t tip over. This is exactly what I wanted.
