I connected this DVD drive to my new M2 Mac mini and it worked fine. The desktop and laptop Macs have not come with a CD/DVD drive since 2012 so it is nice to have this portable drive. What I like the most about it is that it has both usb-c and usb-a connections attached to it so it should work with just about any computer old or new. It is also very lightweight so you can easily carry it around in a computer bag or luggage without adding much weight.

I will say it does not work on an iPad but I plugged it into my Mac and it was AWESOME. I needed it for school and it worked perfect for me

This didn’t require any program installation and it is very much plug and play style. I like that it has both a type C and USB-A connectors. I used the type C connector with my laptop to install a program from a dvd and it works flawlessly. The device itself isn’t made of very good quality and it is just plastics and feels cheap but it works.

So many computers don’t come with a CD/DVD drive anymore and every once in a while i need to do something with a Disc and this device is very helpful for that.

The media could not be loaded.
 I was happy to find this external DVD/CD drive. Now, I can load programs I need or listen to/watch older media files (music, photos, and videos). I have a case full of CDs with photos/videos that haven’t been touched for years. However, I do wish it offered more features like burning discs. Works great without any problems. I like the embedded cable design for easy storage. I’m really happy with this little portable drive.

For the multitudes out there with laptops without a CD/DVD drive, this is a nice accessory. It works fine to play movies or music discs. The drive is not very versatile, however, which is a bit of a disappointment. It does not play BluRay discs, and you can’t burn music CDs–why not? If you’re going to make an external drive like this, why not give it a bit more ability? Anyway, it’s good enough if you just want to watch regular DVDs or listen to music CDs–which is what they tell you it can do in the description. Nothing shady here, I just wish it could do more.

Most PC’s nowadays don’t have cd roms. This was an easy install just plug it in to your USB slot and windows installs the drivers and your good to go. Decent quality and good for the price.
