The kettle boils water and is very attractive to look at but boy does the software have bugs. The clock jumps around with incorrect times. You need to push different buttons to turn the kettle on. Sometimes you see the clock sometimes you don’t. This very expensive product is not ready for prime time. Avoid.

We love this thing. I had been on the fence on this purchase for awhile, it was a nice to have not a need. We visited a friend who had a different brand and my husband saw an electric kettle in action. He decided to surprise me on v-day with my own. We have used it several times everyday since, justifying and making us both happy with the purchase.

Pros – really cute, compact, and gooseneck spout made it easy to pour
Cons – metallic smell at all times coming from whatever metal material covers the outside. Scrubbed and cleaned many times, still smells bad. Also, the timer isn’t intuitive, took too long to figure out. Lastly, can’t see water level, neither digital nor strip.

Im using this kettle for pour over coffee from a V60. I also have a much larger breville kettle. I previously thought it couldn’t get much better than the breville but after using this I know now how wrong I was. The speed, pouring, and aesthetics are simply superior to the breville. Yes it is more expensive but I am making the best coffee I’ve ever had and this is a very important part. Maybe there are better options in this category but I have zero reason to explore them.
