I recently got this new (May 23’) TV and wanted to share my thoughts.

The colors on the screen are vibrant and really pop out. Even the darker colors look rich and detailed which is a big plus in my book. The contrast between the light and dark parts is spot on and adds to the overall image quality.

The level of detail on this TV is there in every way. You can clearly see tiny details like individual hairs or the texture of fabrics.

What I also like is how well this TV handles fast-moving scenes. Everything stays smooth and clear, without any annoying blurring or shaking.

Overall, I am happy with this TV. The picture quality is outstanding and it truly enhances the viewing experience. I give it five stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a great TV with an amazing picture below the $3k price point.

This TV has a really nice picture quality, its probably the best picture quality I have owned so that is very impressive. Good smart TV options. Only thing that annoyed me is we mounted this to the wall and the TV doesn’t come with the screws in the back that most come with so you will need to rely on you mount having the correct size screws for mounting on the wall.

This is my first 4k led TV I’ve owned, and I cannot believe the difference in picture quality. The color is stunning!

The TV is lightweight and easy to unbox and install. The setup instructions were very clear and easy to follow as well. I’m not a tech person so I cannot get into all the technical aspects, but I can say that this TV is amazing.

My only issue is getting used to the remote. The remote reminds me of using a mouse with the way it has a pointer. But that will be easy to get used to with time.

All in all, this was a great buy and I highly recommend it!

Overall I have been happy with this TV. It comes with the usual annoyances of new TV’s these days, so you’ll have to do some research on which settings to turn off, or adjust. These models even have secret menu’s to turn off annoying features like having a giant LG logo every time you turn the tv on or off. A quick Google or YouTube search is all it takes for most issues but the main secret menu pops up by pressing “mute” 3 times on the remote.

I’m not a fan of the Wii style remote where you point the remote at the screen to direct the pointer.

I wish TV manufacturers would stop with all of the “TruMotion” defaults. Absolute garbage feature that should be off from the factory that makes everything look alien and gives me vertigo when I watch it. At least they let you turn it off, but it should be that way standard.

I had to adjust the blacks, whites, and contrast. Out of the box, blacks were too dark, whites were blown out, and the overall screen brightness was way too high.

Speakers are bad but that’s true of any TV so I didn’t remove any stars for that. Get yourself a nice sound bar or speakers.

Aside from the usual break-in period adjusting the horrible default settings, it’s been a fantastic TV so far.

First, this TV is simply top tier. 4k video, every bell and whistle with the latest OS features. The Magic Wand remote for LG. Wow, I could write a review for days, but if you want that sort of detail, I suggest you get into a Youtube video with a real tech expert who does this for a living.

For me, as a simple home consumer, the screen is just amazing. I find the size at 50″, especially with the video quality, to be large but enjoyable in a small room, perfect for a mid-sized room and likely a bit small for a large living room.

The picture quality is off the wall good. I had absolutely no issues, and there are so many adjustments that can be made in how you display through the various modes, truly you can get almost any quality you want. 4k streaming is simply nutty, how good it is. You’ll see things in the picture quality that just takes you to different places. I watched the jungles of Costa Rica, and I felt I was there. So amazing!

It comes with all native support for just about any popular app you can desire, and has numerous inputs for all manner of devices. You can easily use this for displaying PC images or presentations, but I found the lag to be far too severe to use as an oversize monitor. (It’s not meant for this anyway, just thought I’d mention it.)

Excellent of course for console gameplay, with exceeding fast response times.

For me, if I’m really determining between QNED or OLED, there are two important things to consider. The QNED is brighter natively, and able to put out a much brighter image overall. Further, it has far less reflectivity in its screen, and is therefore able to abide the presence of background or sideground lighting much more effectively.

The second item, and the downside, it the OLED is always going to have much deeper blacks, and thus this really is noticeable in a dark room, especially. If I’m putting this in say, a basement designed for movie watching and game play, with the lights often turned off or low, I want OLED of QNED if I can get there. It’s not like the QNED is going to disappoint, but OLED is simply going to be much better.

Conversely, in a bright living room or day room, you will really find OLED surpassed by QNED, in my opinion.

The last thing I would mention is the viewing angle vs picture quality. If you have a particularly “wide angle” seating plan for your room, I’d again go for OLED over this, as with a wider angle, you will lose a good bit of picture quality here. If your room is fairly standard, then you’ll do great.

One more last thing.. :), is simply on the sound. It’s decent enough, and can really produce a nice effect, but in truth, you’ll always do much better with external speakers, and even a decent sound bar with sub will surpass the native sound here. Still and all, they are much better than they used to be, which was just awful in general. If you want to rely on the native audio, it is still very nice, just not as deep and punchy and immersive as the picture quality sort of cries out for.

Look. In the end, this is a top tier TV, and you won’t go wrong here. 5 stars all day. I highly recommend it.
