So this is definitely intimidating at first, but is actually very user friendly and produces an excellent cup of coffee. Just an FYI – the pod samples that are provided with this machine are EXPIRED. They expired 3/31/2023 so over 2 months ago which is a disappointment and Amazon cannot send you replacement samples without having to return the entire machine.

I did like this machine and it does make a very good cup of coffee. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a coffee machine at this price point that can brew a better-tasting cup of coffee. Yet, despite the great-tasting coffee, I ended up returning this machine.
First off, there is very little variety when it comes to veruto pods. The original Nespresso machines have more choices to pick from and then of course K-cup compatible machines have FAR, FAR more variety. Good coffee, but after using it for nearly two months… I kind of got sick of the same coffee flavors over and over again.
Secondly, the price. For me, veruto pods are too expensive. I drink 3-4 cups of coffee a day and considering a pack of 8 veruto pods is about $10.00, this machine was too much money for me long-term. Even the most expensive K-cup brands are less money than a pack of 8 veruto pods.
Thirdly, the crema. Sure, it looks fancy… but I don’t really like it when it comes to the drinking experience. I just want to enjoy a cup of coffee and not deal with a layer of foam every time.
As aforementioned, I used this machine for about two months and while I did enjoy it, I ultimately made the decision to return it before Amazon’s return window closed. It’s too expensive to use as a primary coffee machine (for me) but if you don’t mind the higher price of veruto pods and limited flavor options, I definitely recommend this machine.

I’ve been lucky enough to use a wide variety of at home coffee makers – from simple filter units, to more elaborate combination, automatic grinder and coffee maker units. Capsule based units represent a massive part of the at home coffee making market now. They offer consistent, high quality coffees that are incredibly easy to make – just insert the desired capsule, push a button, and you’re on your way to a great tasting cup of coffee. The Nepsresso VertuoPlus falls into this latter category of coffee makers. A few things to consider when purchasing this is the types of capsules that are available (since you’ll be locked into the Nespresso system), and the quality of the unit itself.
One thing that Nespresso does consistently well is make incredibly sharp looking coffee makers, and this is no exception. The silver exterior looks incredibly sharp, with the overall design boasting clean lines, and an overall modern aesthetic. Considering the quality of the coffee that is made, this actually doesn’t take up that much space on your counter top – it’s got an overall slim, though somewhat irregular, profile. The unit is a breeze to use – you pull up on the lid switch, which activates an electric motor to open the capsule hatch and drop back the previously used cartridge. You insert your capsule, and tap the lid down now to get it to close automatically. Hit the power button and you’re off to the races.
The unit is quiet, and gets heated up quite quickly. You’ll spend no more than 2-3 minutes getting your coffee ready in the morning – really, most of your time will be spent picking the capsule if at all. Depending on what capsules you decide to use regularly, you’ll have a pretty variable experience in flavor and taste. The unit comes with a nice sampler so you’ll be able to decide what flavor you like. I’ve found that the Nespresso line up of capsules is super thorough. Regardless of your perferred coffee taste, I’m confident you’ll be able to find something that suits you. What I can say, is that the quality of every coffee that’s made is outstanding – beverages come out at the perfect temperature for immediate consumption, and are incredibly flavorful.
All those positives aside, I think that the nespresso capsule units will work for some but not all coffee lovers. It really depends on what you’re looking for. For full on coffee connoisseurs that love to explore different grinds and beans, that ability to explore and that variety is lost with these new capsule based machines. Beyond that, while the capsules are now recyclable, I still have concerns about how green these are – consider the amount of energy that has to go into producing and then recycling these. That said, if you’re looking for a quick and simple solution to make high quality coffees in the morning, that is something that Nespresso definitely does well.

When arrived I found there was a small leak from the water tank to the machine. Called Amazon they said to send it back and sent me a new machine 2 days later! Work’s great!

I’ve had this thing for about a week. I wanted to do espresso for fun but I’m not ready for a real machine. And most mornings I don’t have time for all that. This thing is super easy to use. The coffee varieties are excellent and the foam makes your coffee extra special. The milk frother works surprisingly good.
The bad? The coffee seems expensive, you can’t really buy it in the grocery store etc. The coffee is very easy to order and ships fast.
I’d buy this again over a cheap espresso machine every day. I’d still like to try a Gaggia or something like that, but a grinder and other mess is needed. Pricey.

We replaced our Nespresso Vertuo machine with this New Nespresso VertuoPlus Machine.
The new VertuoPlus machine is more stylish and chic looking and has some great new features
First off this machine is easy to use and smaller and more compact than the Vertuo Machine.
The water tank is on a swivel and can be move to the side or back allowing it to FIT better on your kitchen counter.
After making a cup of coffee the pod is automatically ejected into a waste bin on the rear of the machine – This feature is awesome!
This new VertuoPlus machine is noticeably quieter than our previous machine and it makes multiple sizes of coffee.
Drawbacks:
While this Nespresso Machine makes fantastic tasting coffee without the fuss or mess there are a couple drawbacks
1 – Limited Selection of Pods:
2 – Pods are Expensive (twice the price of Keurig K-Cups)
3 – No Tea Pods Available
4 – The machine cannot dispense Straight Hot Water
Overall I really like this newly designed VertuoPlus machine. It’s easy to setup and use, the swivel water tank is great and the coffee is outstanding. One feature the Nespresso has that I wish our Keurig machine had was the auto shut off feature. My wife is always leaving the Keurig machine one while the Nespresso powers down to save energy after it’s been idle for more than 9 minutes. One more thing … you get a sampler back of coffee with the machine which is great!

The only problem I have is the water leaks from the machine on a weekly basis. I never overfill and the water randomly leaks out while not in use. Unfortunately, it is too late to return since I was only given a month window.

Makes better coffee than Starbucks, sorry Starbucks. Basically everything is perfect about this machine! I love the frother, cold setting is my favorite. Mine also came with samples of vertuo pods. It nice to try different ones before deciding which ones to stock up on.

If you’re wondering whether or not the Breville VertuoPlus coffee machine is worth getting, I’ll give you some help.
Do you want a good espresso, every time, with minimal effort? Delicious coffee, with no need to brew a whole pot, hence, zero waste? A super low maintenance machine?
I can go on.
Here’s what you won’t have to do if you get this:
Finding coffee beans every time and worrying about storing them and keeping them fresh, in order to grind them when you need them. No need to suffer with grocery purchased pre-ground coffee. No steam wands, no mess.
The thing is, if you’re looking for the best espresso you can make, you need a source of freshly roasted beans and a grinder at home. You will also need to fine tune the grind, clean up afterwards etc… Not to mention the plethora of espresso machines out there that can cost a fortune. No, you’re not here for that. You want ease of use, and a good coffee every time.
The Breville machine is almost identical to the Delonghi machine; I assume Nespresso sets the guidelines. The silver model is quite nice, I like the color.
The VertuoPlus has the motorized open and close of the “lid” and automatically dumps the used pod into the container at the back of the machine. If you’re looking for an easy to use machine, mess free, consistently good coffee and can make you a coffee a minute (when you have guests), you found it.
My only complaint is that the cup holder is barely large enough to accommodate my favorite coffee cup (see picture), and I would go for the combo with the aeroccino milk frother, it’s essential for a good latte or flat white.

I have been using a Keurig for a very long time now but recently went over to my brother in laws house and he had a Nespresso and it changed my whole life. The taste is much richer, and the smell is fantastic. I feel as though I just step foot into a latte shop but in reality, it’s my own home. The capsules are a bit expensive but in my opinion, it is worth it. I also love the fact that they are recyclable and I can make my own as well. The Keurig did not offer that at all. Hands down the Nespresso is way better taste, and I am glad I purchased this device. Keep in mind I just brought this product less than a week ago so, I have no idea how long this product will last.

Qualité piètre d’espresso. Les capsules ordinaires donnent un meilleur résultat que le vertuo.

WANTED SO MUCH TO LIKE MY NEW NESPRESSO , AND I DID LOVE IT FOR THE FIRST 15 DAYS. MANAGED TO MAKE 14 EXCELLENT CUPS OF COFFEE BEFORE WATER STARTED LEAKING OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE MACHINE. I CALLED NESPRESSO FOR HELP AND THEY VERY NICELY WALKED ME THROUGH A FIX , BUT IT DID NOT WORK. THE BEST THEY WOULD DO IS SEND ME A REFURBISHED MACHINE IF I PROMISED TO SEND MY DAMAGED MACHINE BACK. MY NESPRESSO IS ONLY TWO WEEKS OLD!! I EXPECTED THEM TO SEND ME A NEW REPLACEMENT, NOT A REFURBISHED MACHINE. IF I KEPT THE BOX I WOULD RETURN IT TO AMAZON. SHAME ON NESPRESSO NESPRESSO REDEEMED THEMSELVES JUST TWO DAYS AFTER TELLING ME THEY WERE REPLACING MY NEW NESPRESSO WITH A REFURBISHED UNIT, FEDEX DELIVERED A NEW NESPRESSO TO MY FRONT DOOR. FAITH RESTORED IN NESPRESSO.A LITTLE ROCKY BUT IN THE END THEY MADE THE RIGHT DECISION AND I AM HAPPY

Love my nespresso maker! It makes such a different in the taste of coffee. 10/10 recommend the Breville machine specifically too. Didn’t have great luck with the other make
