This hard drive was real easy to set up. All I had to do was plug it in to the port and bang it was all set up. Great storage capacity. I have a lot of movies and what not downloaded since I made the purchase. Very easy to do and lots of storage space to go.

1. It is impossible to open files if you are trying to upload them to a third party app like facebook etc…
The minute you select add photo on the app and open the drive folder…the folder appears blank and refuses to show the files.
2. It is IMPOSSIBLE to transfer folders whether zipped or unzipped to the drive, you can only upload the files individually which takes a long time and then put them into folder directly on the drive! WHO HAS TIME FOR THAT??????

Todo lo que puedes esperar de un HDD portátil.
Siempre he comprado disco duros del fabricante (Toshiba) por su calidad y sobre todo, por su resistencia a los golpes en caso de algún accidente. Golpes leves o pequeños, normalmente no supondrán un problema.
Si bien, un golpe muy fuerte puede dañar el disco o, como mínimo corromper los datos en la zona (sectores) afectada, sobre todo si no fue apagado antes, es decir, estaba encendido con los cabezales leyendo los platos, a diferencia de otros que hasta allí normalmente llegarían, con este tienes normalmente el chance de respaldar la información antes que el disco tenga un fallo critico, sí es que lo tiene.
Normalmente (por supuesto que no es una norma), es posible seguir usando el disco sin mayores inconvenientes, aunque no lo recomendaría usar para respaldar nada realmente importante para el usuario, al menos que, con los programas especializados, hayas re-mapeado los sectores malos y determinado que es seguro.
Lo mejor seria reemplazarlo por uno nuevo, y seguir usándolo para cosas no importantes hasta que deje de funcionar, si es que deja de hacerlo. Supongo que cosas como la suerte tienen que ver con esto ultimo.
Al ser un disco mecánico hay que tener cuidado con los golpes. Sí eres una persona cuidadosa, no tendrás normalmente ningún problema, más sí solo lo usas para respaldar la información que poseas. Ahora, sí no eres cuidadoso, te recomendaría mejor un SSD o un pendrive de alta capacidad de un fabricante especializado como SanDisk.

Had a couple mishaps with it at first but after reformatting it into a different file storage system (FAT32), it is working perfectly. Would definitely recommend!

I must have somehow fallen far out of the loop when it comes to modern technology! My previous external hard drive (2TB) was about three times the size of this 4TB device. I had gotten my old device about 11 years or so ago and never really needed a new one. But some internal wiring must have gone wrong, because even after replacing one of the cords, it was still hard to get it to connect to my computer.
Not only does this 4TB device have more space on it, but it’s also smaller and has one less cord to plug in! It works faster and is much better suited for me nowadays! It’s well worth the money!

It works as intended but beware hardrives are getting faster. This one is doing 40 megabytes per second so. About 2gb por minute
